I've torn my left and right acl's previously within the past few years(both reconstructed from my hamstring), and I think I might have re torn my right one, either slightly or fully. The thing is, it doesn't feel as severe as my previous tears, and I didnt feel or hear a pop when I fell. I skied for a good 3-4 hours after my initial fall that hurt my knee today because it felt fine about 5 minutes later after stretching and taking the lift up, but the pains started coming back a couple hours later after a hard impact from landing on hard-packed snow, so i went back home shortly after.
The thing is, my knee isn't nearly as swollen as my knees got after my 2 previous tears, and I don't really feel any pain. The only time it feels a bit sketchy or painful is when walking downstairs. But then again I'm taking into consideration that the graft wouldn't really have any blood inside of it to swell my knee up with since its not exactly a natural ligament, and also since its not exactly a natural body part, that might explain the reason why I'm not feeling as much pain as i have from my previous tears.
I'm definitely going to take a break from skiing until I see my doctor first. But has anyone here ever re-torn a previously reconstructed acl before? Am I just worrying too much?
