I was doing commercial construction for a company that would threaten to replace us with Mexicans whenever we would stand up for ourselves. Fuck non-union construction companies. They’re all the same.

That and nepotism. So many construction companies in this country that just hand the reigns over to their kids eventually so they can hand the reigns over to their kids and hire cheap labor while raking in millions.

This stupid collision shop has had my car for almost two weeks and just started called me to tell me they finally did tear down and now the price is rising and they have to see if insurance will cover additional parts/labor. 5 day estimate turned into what looks to be a month and a half so i may just buy a car at this point because renting one would cost just as much

My major is forestry. Currently, there are like 3 job openings for every 1 undergrad in my class. Even if you only had an associates you would be hired right away after school. Entry level tech positions spend almost all their time outside in the field.

Your insurance should pay for rental. Most of the time it's out of pocket, then you get reimbursed

other three were my fault and i took the responsibility to call the police and file accident reports and pay the deductible on my parents policy as well as any traffic violations etc. tbh i think it was a good learning moment and im glad my parents didn’t help with it and told me to figure it out

i totaled a truck when i was 14 and mine was out the ass. That was my only claim too. I'm having a shitfit getting charged 1500 a year at 28 with no accidents or violations in 14 years or so......I am crying thinking of yours.

Tried to buy booze at 2:45am forgot they stop at 2 here. Was supposed to get out at midnight but there were just 2 of us and the parks were fucked. Been hot.

Still got some french bread pizzas. Oh well. Those laws are so dumb. Sucks when you work nights.

Here you can't buy alcohol from stores between 9pm to 9am, only bars are allowed to sell during night time.

I know you can pass a city or county ordicance or whatever. In NY around albany and also Saratog the bars are 4am. I think stores are still 2 though.

i genuinely think NY has no drinking laws. the clubs here literally let 14yearolds in with no ids, corner stores and dingy liquor shops would sell to a seven year old if no one was looking. maybe it’s just cause buffalo is a sleeze fest but i feel like there is no cut off or regulation here

I would like to wish a very special Fuck You to fed ex.

I pay 40$ extra for 2 day shipping. What I actually paid 40$ extra for was for them to send it back and forth between Tennessee and Wisconsin, meaning I still don't have my parts almost a week later. Oh and our delivery guarantee? Nah you can go eat shit.

I really wish websites would say who is fulfilling the shipping , since I avoid Fedex like the plague. One part was fulfilled by USPS and got here on time, the parts that were shipped through UPS got here 2 days early. Fedex was shipping from the closest warehouse and it would seem they don't even know where it currently is and are just sending it to random places.

Anyone want to jump on a class action lawsuit?

FedEx does suck.

In college my laptop died a couple weeks before finals. I bought a new one from Dell and they shipped it FedEx. I wasn't home when they delivered it - they left it sitting on the patio right outside the door. The package clearly marked Dell so anyone walking by could see that there's a computer inside.

We use FedEx alot at work. The people that load the freight onto the trucks are animals. Probably the same type that load baggage onto airplanes.

Like, imagine if I paid for a hot dog at a hot dog stand. Didn't get my hot dog that I paid for, and then the guy selling the hotdogs says that his hot dog guarantee is bullshit, he's not going to give me my hot dog, and that I should go fuck myself and find 1000 other people, pay a bunch of lawyers, and sue his multinational multibillion dollar hotdog conglomerate for pennies.

Update,

we hung out last week and it was literally out of a movie again. Went for a run tuesday after crew, showered together, made out, got icecream, walked thru the parks together back to her house, made dinner together, cuddled until i had to go. Walks me to the car and at the end of the driveway she goes “this isn’t going to work out for us. You’re too emotionally mature for this to workout over the summer. I can’t keep dragging this on if i’m going to leave.” to which i protested and then she kissed me and just told me to stop argueing and making things difficult. So i said goodnight and left. literally will not understand her ever. but she asked to hangout before she goes to costa rica and i bailed on her partly because i have bacterial pneumonia and partly because I don’t want to pursue something if she’s gonna blow it off even if I don’t want a relationship for more than the summer. Girls are fuckin crazy
