welp just got kicked out of the house by my mom. got to love that. I think I was a little harsh but what I said was true. Parents shouldn’t tell their kids they’re indebted to them for providing basic needs just because said parents didn’t. Maybe telling my mom she was turning into her dad and mom was a bit much. But based off how she talks about them treating her poorly and what they did. She’s basically doing the same to me. Blatantly telling me I’m a waste of air compared to siblings, telling me i’m the reason I’m being treated or feel the way I do. On top of that telling me anything they do they don’t have to do for me and I could be living on the street. There’s literally nothing I can do anymore to stay out of their line of fire. It’s borderline abuse at this point. Even if they’ve only hit me once or twice in my life. Gonna ski this shit out and crash at my homies tn.

It's incredibly shitty for parents to make their kids feel like they owe them for shit. Its one thing to ask for more appreciation but it's entirely different when it comes to saying "you could be out on the street." It sounds like a shitty situation but if you're headed to college soon you gotta do what's good for you. Turn the brain off, take it on the chin, be a "good child" robot for a few more months and then get outta dodge
Use that spite work towards putting yourself in a spot where they don't have anything to hold over your head ever again.
From my experience the tune tends to change pretty quickly once the kid is gone, independent, and not talking to the parents anymore. But you gotta put that work in to get there.
It might get better with time and it might not. I've got a way better relationship with my family now then I did during the end of highschool and early college years but I still try to avoid taking anything they offer as much as possible.

Currently 1 exam point out of 215 total away from the next letter grade in math and my prof has shot down every regrade request I’ve made even when problems were graded extremely harshly. Got a 5/10 on one because I messed up 1 step out of 7 total ?

I miss when we used to get Photo Annuals from Powder Mag and Freeskier in-print too. I hope my parents have them stashed somewhere because the 40th Anniversary Edition of Powder Magizine is one of my most prized possessions. So many amazing childhood memories from being stoked as a kid ripping thru the latest edition I got at the grocery store while eating cereal.
