Don’t hate me for saying this but Harlaut is, for the lack of a better word, kind of cringe. This whole gangster image he’s been trying to embody lately is throwing me off. Like, there’s nothing I can relate between Henrik Harlaut and ”the hustle”. He’s a white skier from Sweden probably born into a well-off family.

Don’t get me wrong, even I enjoy listening to og hip hop and like to imagine being in an edit from the golden era of skiing. But, HH is taking it to the point where it just isn’t ”cool” anymore. I know it doesn’t matter what I think. I just want to know if I’m the only one.

I guess I don’t think he’s trying to be gangster, this is just how he shows his passion. He’s just at a point in his career where his two biggest passions (music and skiing) can come together in a way not many others could do. He’s “hustling” because he’s 30 something going hard af in the streets like no one before him.

Reminds me of the Be Inspired movie that had the official soundtrack. That was more like reggae type shit but people weren’t hating on them for “trying to be Rasta” (were they? Idk before my time) or whatever that was just the music they were passionate about and they could intersect it with their skiing

i mean benny the butcher put the video out from his own channel. wu tang made an appearance on educational of style. songs were created by artists to be in BE Inspired, etc. etc. so yeah henrik obviously didnt grow up in the same environment as many of the black rappers lol but he’s certainly got their support as his reach marginally expands their audience. baggy clothes, hip hop, and that low to the ground style is the harlaut brand. always has been and always will be. the lyrics dont have to depict your life on order to appreciate, enjoy, and take influence from

it certainly isnt for everyone so no, you are not the only one that doesn’t vibe with it. it certainly seems a bit played out at this point but personally im still about it. it would be nice to se HH in slvsh or other projects that aren’t similarly focused like these street edits put out post knee surgery.

i used to drive snowcats and deliver the food to the restaurants on hill at breck. we would prop the door open and put the plastic over the door while we unloaded the cat and loaded the walk in. ya boi left that shit pried wide fuckin open lol. the gm the next morning took a picture and sent to the COO saying it was 10s of thousands of dollars worth of product. i immediately owned my mistake and it only end up being like $1k in wasted product but they did let me keep my allowance.

I generally enjoy my job but there’s a coworker who just does not email any of their plans to the rest of our team and as a result the rest of us have to do translation of documentation we’re legally required to keep by the federal government on the fly when they drop it on the desk.

I get being lazy but for fuck’s sake, we could all lose our jobs AND be sued if this shit isn’t done properly.

my understanding is that ‘zero tax dollars’ go into unemployment except in ak, nj, and pa. typically its a state wide program requiring businesses to pay into a state wide unemployment insurance program. (basically a business tax but ya aint getting a loophole around this expense lol) there is oversite at both federal and state level so a shutdown could impact that but i suspect pretty minimally as it would impact federal staffing for the programs but not the cash flow into the programs. so probably makes its slower to get benefits.

its time to vote these geriatrics fucks who thrive on dividing the people and their private interests out of office on all sides. if you are old enough to collect social security then you are too old to be making decisions for the future of others livelihood. sometimes i wish we could just clean house (and senate) and just realign as a country on what priorities we should focus on and start from scratch. also, i think we should literally not allow congress to leave the capitol or eat a single fuckin morsel of food during the shutdown. if they were the ones impacted by the shutdown instead of hundreds of thousands of citizens i bet they would see eye to eye real quick. but instead they get to take their private jets back to their vacation that they will undoubtedly put back pay in the new budget for themselves.

awful feeling when ur burning enough calories and u physically cannot stomach enough to even recover. Two a days leading into schulkyll is kicking my ass. Apple watch claimed I burned 1,700 calories during practice and 400 erging after. on top of my 2800 a day. I cannot stomach 4,000-5,000 calories of protein and healthy fats and carbs. I really think i need therapy and to talk to some specialists about mental health and stuff. I've always had problems and think i might be a bit bipolar (go a few days/weeks happy and normal then a few where i just barely feel happiness from things that usually work well, but other things bum me out super easily). It's really been getting worse over the last few years. I'm no expert so I really want to regularly talk to one.

I also reallly reallly need to fly aircraft for my career. I have wanted to fly as long as I can remember. However, the FAA has zero tolerance for people with any sort of history of mental illness/therapist visits, etc. I already am limited in what I can do because of my imperfect vision, it would really be lame for the feds to ground me altogether. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do? I'm pretty tired of avoiding people and things because I'm grumpy for no reason.

Yeah I don't wanna dump everything on here but some of that stuff does sounds about right. For the FAA it's more about what actions I have taken not necessary just what I actually have, that they care about. Unfortunately there were just like 600 commercial pilots put under investigations for just seeing a therapist and you hear about bullshit license suspensions for medical reasons all the time.
