fuck money lol. in no way is that a measure of your character, your ability to be a parent, shit even success in my opinion. there are so many rich couples that work themselves to death, have know emotional intelligence, don’t teach or exemplify how to navigate conflict, don’t have time for their kids, don’t teach how to appreciate, etc.

i was in mexico for a wedding and their was this dirt fuckin poor family and every night they were with each other cooking and playing cards while sitting on 5 gal buckets. they were certainly a happy family unit and i would guess they talked about their lives with each other daily. they didnt have a car, they didnt have money, they had a tiny, shitty house and they were still happier than 90% of americans

Call city planning/building/permitting or whatever it's called and see if the had or needed permits. That's bullshit. People always complain about big trees but if you look at neighborhoods that don't have trees they look like shit.

5G is a generation of cellular networks. It’s not one singular type. Most carriers haven’t rolled out the networks that 5G was hyped up to be yet. Midband (c-band ) spectrum was just released by the fcc and that is pretty close to what it was hyped to be.

Hell I don’t think any of the carriers even do voice over 5G right now.

I met an OG park guy that lives in a camper van and skis backcountry with his friends in CO everyday. He works part time as an avalanche safety instructor and canoe instructor. He was a smart man and knew how to enjoy his passion full time without a career.

I saw a dude today ripping a monoski in a custom Av's jersey with the #69 and the nameplate said Maibalzich and it was kind of great.

I wear my wings hat at work all the time and get weird looks but it kinda matches the red and white ski patrol work outfit vibe lol. I also brought my Reebok Datsyuk sweater out here too so im waiting to rip out that one for the hate.

I hate bars/clubs. Always felt out of place but hit my breaking point last night. Had a friend from out town in so we and four others went out. Said friend I'm worried about due to pretty drastic changes in her attitude towards alcohol and substance things since last time I saw her, all changing in the last few weeks it sous like. Last night she got way to deep and was very much not acting herself. She left the group to dance with a nearby guy none us knew and within a minute saw the dude reach around back and stick his hand up between her legs. She was too far gone to consent to anything and for those of us that know her knew this was not her at all. Never pulled a friend out of somewhere quicker. On the drive back she didn't fully know who she was dancing with, how many drinks she had, and didn't say anything about what happened.

three days of work at the mtn and i’m alr thinking of quitting. new management is worse than the last and the new middle management is 10 times worse. not to mention non of my paychecks went thru and they’re telling me i can’t get my dependent szn passes until after new years cause it’ll be busy till then. y does the ski industry fucking get worse each year

Talked with her this evening. She claims nothing happened and that she remembers the whole evening. Also some polite defensiveness when I mentioned how she approaches new places and substance suddenly very differently all of the sudden. I'm still super concerned for her. I hate this.

Been in a similar situation before, after voicing your concerns once I think the move is just to forget about it, you aren’t her dad and giving her shit will probably just make her want to wild out more

I love my Sakanas and my Bacons but Lines bases shed wax soo quick. I could not wax my Jeffrey’s for 2 years and they would still have wax. Meanwhile after one day both pairs need waxed again.

I cancelled plans on a chronic flake and the WHOLE WORLD ENDED.

Had tickets to a concert with a couple people - my cousin and my boyfriend’s best friends wife(we’ll call her BFBFW). My dad bought VIP tickets for my cousin and I not knowing we already tickets. I cancelled on the plans about 2-3 weeks before and offered her my cousin’s ticket so she could find someone else to go with. She told me just to sell her ticket. I listed it for what we paid and it did not sell. She found out I still went and is furious lmao

Side note- BFBFW and the best friend: They cancel plans on us ALL. THE. TIME. He cancels hangout plans with my boyfriend at least once or twice a month. They cancelled on us for a concert literally minutes before the doors opened. There’s always ann excuse. It’s infuriating and I have had enough of it for quite some time.

At the beginning of our relationship I did try to hangout with her but there was always an excuse last minute to not hangout. So I gave up. Still was civil but didn’t reach out to her any more than necessary.

Anyways, she blocked me on everything and accused me of stealing. Even though I tried to give her the ticket. She would not give me her email address to transfer it to her.

In my eyes I had to choose between her and my dad (who spent a lot of money on the tickets for us). It was a lose-lose situation for me but I’d choose him over her any day. She’s cancelled on me enough that I don’t feel bad nor do I feel like I owe her any sort of explanation. So if I had to do it again, I would still make the same decision and firmly stand by it.

It’s just so amusing to me that I cancel plans one time and it’s this huge ordeal when they cancel on us all the time. They think the world revolves around them and if someone else doesn’t cater to them it’s this huge fucking shock to them. Get over yourselves for fucking real.

I very often get less than 8 hours and feel fine. I probably just gone one of those genes where I don't require much sleep cause 6 hrs is well enough for me.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m a well rested lady, and it’s good sleep. I’ve just always needed a lot of sleep to function.
 
I feel lucky to get the 6 hours of sleep I require for a comfortable day, cus it doesn't usually happen. More than 8 hours of sleep makes me feel ill, similar to less than 5 hours.
 
Depending on when you wake up in your sleep cycle, 6 hours can feel better than 8. If you try to wake up from a deep sleep around the 8 hour mark you could feel like shit but if you wake up with your natural sleep cycle around 6 hours you could wake up feeling refreshed. Also depends on the sleep quality. Quality over quantity for sure!
