I still don't personally enjoy rails as much as the other aspects of skiing. I have gained more of an appreciation for them on icy days so I guessI can see how you eastcoasters feel. That must suck haha. I'm not gonna lie though I found the rails segments in the movies this year to be incredibly boring, Like the tricks people are starting to do on urban rails are ridiculous... But i still find it boring I can't just sit and watch 15 minutes of constant switch ups and pretzels and 270s on. It doesn't even look good. I appreciate trying to progress the sport and everything... but what's the next thing we're gonna see on urban rails? There were 360 switch ups, multiple pretzels, multiple switch ups... I mean really, there's gonna come a point that you just can't really do that much more and it's approaching quickly.
That being said travelling circus crew and others are doing some cool shit on park rails and boxes, but I don't imagine we're gonna be seeing hippy killers and urban quad kinks.
I can forsee some nollies, nose butters and those types of things in the next couple years, but IReally don't know after that.
This is just my opinion, I've never been much of a rail skier. My home hill pretty much doesn't even have rails. But I gotta say I was not the only one in my group that got incredibly bored with urban rails. It's like watching asian kids play DDR. It's crazy for the first 3-5 minutes
