Rail Jam 2011

sorry dude, just got internet back. outdoor sports was cancled. boo

Colorado Ski Shop Rail Jam!

November 12. all the stuff brian said.

set up:? Lets see how much snow we can get before we start claiming. a bunch of rinks were without power....

Remember that that money goes to the West Springfield parks and rec department, not to CO or Sundown, it's so we can use the field, which is what allows us to have so many features and it's what makes the rail jam one of the best, so to be honest, it's worth it for sure, cause otherwise it'd be another scaffolding jam in CO's parking lot...or none at all...

Remember that the rail jam last week at ski sundown was the fucking best in a while (in my opinion)... And was free, and had a ton of features set-up! I just bought a ton of new ski stuff for this winter in the past week.. And 20 dollars is kind of a lot to just ski down a small down slope with some rails and boxes, with all the people who enter, 10 dollars would even be good.. Colorado has a legit rail jam and everyone goes I see no need to pay 20 dollars for it. :(

This comment really lacks originality.

If you look at their "Winter PRO Team" I am positive they can all ski down the hill without falling on their asses.

Hey all, just getting back into the swing of newschoolers. Registration can be made over the phone if you don't have a credit card. You will have to make your donation of $20 the day of the event before receiving your shirt that morning. The shop number is 413-746-4144

i agree with frenchy. 20 bucks is a lot to be throwing around for a little skiing, and i'd rather not ski then pay 20 bucks. with the amount of people that were there last year and the year before, im sure we can bank on plenty of people being there, and the price could be dropped...

Forgot to take a picture, but James and I loaded 2 double barrel rails (one 8ft one 16ft) one flat bar (12ft-ish), the A-frame box, the skinny handrail, and the new flat-down-flat rail (20ft) onto the trailer. No flat box, it needs to be worked on and wouldn't be done in time (sorry Alex). We did put a random bonk on there, not sure if we'll use it, but we have it if we want/can. Jarrod has been (and still is) bringing snow to the park all day, so hopefully they'll be plenty of it.

Jam starts at 11 at Cooks park in West Springfield, make sure you bring a helmet and a parent to sign the waiver for those under 18 (or an already signed waiver, can be found at www.skisundown.com under forms). For questions about registration, call CO Ski Shop (there number is in one of their posts above). See you there!

next friday at the kittery trading post from 5-8, shawnee peak is hosting a rail jam. according to josh the park director, theyre bringing two flat boxes, a flat rail, a down rail and an a frame box. so yeah look it up and there a waiver form and you have to bring a helmet

yeah it was real sweet, I do wish they wouldve kept the landings a little more maintained. It started getting annoying landing in just mud everytime.

it was at a new location in the park this year. we were told not to drive the trucks on the lower field...

that concern has been taken care of and next season we'll dump for the landings.

the one truck load you saw us shovel off just before we started??? yea, we got thrown out of our snow spot. we would have gladly gotten more. again, next time around it'll be good.

to everyone who came, thanks. we did, and always do, have a great time with Colorado Ski Shop and the town of West Springfield.

See you guys at the next sessions, Simsbury Celebrates on 11/26,,, Town of Litchfield rail Jam 11/27 from 2-4pm. Maybe a New Hartford one on 12/4.... but hoping to be open and building parks for the Sun and Ski rail jam here at the hill 12/11

Good shit.

We're working with Umass Amherst and the Ellen's Heart and Soul Foundation again this season for one sweet rail jam right on Umass campus.

Check out this link for more information on registering. We will be giving away a pair of Line Blend skis, a Lib Tech Skate Banana, as well as many other high ticket items.
