Pvc in summer?

^thanks...i think im gonna have pvc on my drop in and then turf on my lil kicker to my rail and some turf under the rail the whole way

yeah thats pretty much what i roll with. just dont make the jump and transition too short, more turf is better than less in that area because you will have no real control on the pvc. and pvc slides fine in the summer, espically with water

PVC is a relatively slippery surface on its own. Not to mention the base of your skis is equally hard and slippery. What you have to watch for is the turf and the run-in. Cover the turf in water and dish-soap as a lubricant, and it will slide well. Once you leave the turf to the rail, your bases will retain a little bit of the lube as you hit the rail. That will allow for you to not wet and prepare the rail, as your skis will already be 'lubed up' from the turf run-in.
Hope that makes sense and helps.

yeah the soap/ water from the inrun should help with it and im hearing to put regular candle wax on the pvc to help it slide but im not sure

you can do that if you want but its not really necessary. pvc usally slides pretty well no matter what, but wax will speed it up if think you need it.

pvc slides good without water... but since the run in has water and soap on it, it will get on the pvc and make it real smooth

so do you guys think pvc would be sticky? One concern i have is if your front edges would dig into it. I was sliding my skis across my rail and my edges went in easily and mine are de-tuned quite a bit

the actual pvc rail wont be sticky. it should be super slippery and i dont think you'll need water for the rail.

you will need water for the drop in if your using turf.

and probably soapy water for snowfence. i need to try that shit outt.

well my rail is pvc and my edges just catch into it really easy i think the PVC i got is too soft. im probably going to get a lexan topsheet later in the summer after i have gotten all the stuff i need for next winter
