Putting down the bar

Ever notice that people who put the bar down, put it back up a good 3-5 chair-lift poles before the top of the chair?what makes people think that they are safer for the last 3 chair lift poles before the top of the chair that they can put the bar up then? I mean, if you're going to fall off the chair, it can happen at anytime right? So why don't people who put the bar down, wait for the top station to put the bar back up? it doesn't take more than 5 seconds to prepare yourself to get off the chair.. yet people feel the need for a good 45 seconds to get ready with the bar up, but they have to have the bar down for the other part of the ride...I vote fuck the bar

naw man its all about safty bar steeze this season, its badass to not break every bone in your body. Im a bar down kind of man

your not going to fall out of the chair. the chair wont stop fast enough for you to fall. if its too windy they wont run the chairs. you gotta try to fall out of a chair. bars are for fags. unless they have a map on them, or footrests, wtf?? i also hate it when you are on a 6 pack with 5 friends and that single fag puts down the bar and hits you in the back of the head. That was when i almost fell out, when someone almost knocked me out with the fucking bar.

it is indeed but really i dont put it down in the park cuz im only 20 ft high max ever... and usually a lot lower and the rides short as hell

i def. enjoy resting my exploded shins on the footrests, therefore i usually lower it. safety steeze is where ist at!

I don't mind either way..... Just please F$@%ing tell me before you bring the bar crashing down on my head or back as I unbuckle my boots. That is when the ride becomes hostile....

there's no need not to put the bar down, unless you u think your cool or something, but i'm all for saftey steeze

if there's foot rests for sure.. Im just talking about people who put it up way before the station.... like what the fuck? wait for the actual end of the chair before you put the bar back up

I can't stand the bars, especially the ones with foot rests, because they also have dividers between the seats and I can't spread out... and I'm too tall for the rests to be useful. The only way I'm falling off a chair is if I fall asleep on it. But I can never seem to find a way to get on one without having some gomer there with me who treats the bar like it's a necessity, as if there's no option. I'm a big guy, so it's more uncomfortable for me, I guess.

I always notice that too, but they always feel the need to throw the bar down THE VERY SECOND you sit down, you dont get any time to move your legs out of the way of the seperators or make sure it dosnt hit you in the head... bastards

The worst is when some fucking moron doesn't wait for you to properly sit down and you end up with the divider between your legs like you're trying to fuck it.

i put the bar down sometimes because my legs are too short, so i cant sit all the way back without feeling like im getting pulled off. so i have to be forward a little bit, and feel like im going to fall off (im a snowboarder so its a bit different)

Nobody ever puts the bar down at my mountain, not even like old people or people that go once a year.

some girl at my home 'mountain' didnt have the bar down, fell off, broke both her legs, and was out cold for a bit. and now since im an instructor, whenever i take up little kids on the chairlift, i freak out and make them sit still and hold onto that bar with dear life.

plus, i have to put down the bar or else i get fired, so at other mountains it's just like automatic for me.

What I hate is jerks who don't know how to fucking sit down on the chair lift

^ you guys are too funny up ther

These three little snowboarders like 12 years old slammed the bar down the other day and it hit my hands then they slammed it three more times i said wtf are u guys doing and they said fuck u skier so i said ok u guys are little faggots then they kept asken me questions like if i sucked dick and shit and i said no but ur mom sucks mine then they were like oh tough guy when we got to the top of the mountain the three of them held the bar down and wouldnt lift it up so i said u better lift this bar or one of u is getten fucked up they were like ok anger manegement boy i am 6 feet tall and i weigh like 205 so i dont know why they were fucken with me in the first place when we got to the unloading ramp they lifted it at the last possible second i pushed all three of them down and said wtf is your problem then they were like oh shit hes gonna beat our asses so they unstrapped their boards and ran next to the lift operators thing i usaully dont mind when ppl put down the bar but those little faggots pissed me off

Yeah at jay the bar is a must, but most places I don't put it down because the footrests only make my feet sore, so I'd rather have them dangle.

I NEVER put the bar down. And Safety Patrol is always bitching me out. And I'm likely going to flip next time someone says something to me about putting the bar down.

While they are bitching at me to put my bar down, some kid is going straight down the hill, completely out of control doing like 50mph. legs wobbling everywhere.

And nevermind the kids sitting right after landings.

But the main cause of injuries must be people falling off lifts, because that is their main safety priority.

its soooo fun to just keep your feet on the footrests until the very last few feet and everyone on the lift is freaking out. stupid racers and old people

i don't like the bar, cuz some people put it down right when they get on and your trying to put your poles underneath, your like thanks ASSHOLE! but if i wanna relax or feel like a gaper i'll put it down.
