Putting down the bar

So this happened to me again today, drilled in the skull with the bar, old folks just pull that P.O.S. down on me like their life depends on it. They should be forced to ride the Jackson Tram taped by their toes to the underside. PLEASE TELL PEOPLE FIRST BEFORE YANKING DOWN THE CROSSBAR. Sorry for the rant but having a headache for the rest of my day is preventable...

I have noticed that most people who actually consciously dont put the bar down think they are badass for it

at my mountain the terrian park is really short and theirs a lift that jsut services the park. there are 4 poles up the park. some racer bitch didnt put his bar downand somehow fell out. broke both his ankles. now there a ski partol standing under the lift all day yelling at people to put their bars down...so gay

I just leave it up to whoever im riding with.

Near the end of the day i always put it down cause im tired.

I hate when older ppl/racers act like were to cool to put down the bar so they start saying shit like r u to cool to put the bar down.

I am with the most of you here on one point. I dont' care for it when people fail to say "bar coming down".

Otherwise though.. I am all for the bar. I have been on more than one high speed lift where an emergency stop has been enacted.. and once when I was in Mt. St. Anne in Que. some tool who was all about "not having the bar down".. well he fell down off on the emerg. stop and I am pretty sure by the high pitched wailing he was doing that he at least broke some bones.

How much of a douche would I feel like if I was walking around in a ski town with a huge cast on my leg and when people asked me what happened... I had to reply.

"uh.. well I feel off the chair cuz I didn't put the bar down".

Its not like it hurts me or causes me discomfort to have the bar down.

I am not to "core" to be opposed to it.

i know a kid who fell off a fairly large lift.. not so big, and broke both his heels. he needs surgury, and cant find a doctor good enough to do it. he may never walk again
