Push named "movie of the year"

out of the 5 ski movies i've seen this year, its the best, it probably "one" because of the high definition, watching it on a huge plasma is mind blowing
 
my new beef with msp:

why is it that the rider edited version of their movies is better received than the part edited by msp?
 
No soul, but you cant deny that their hollywood cinematographers and editors did a better job than anyone else.
 
No they didn't. Push kinda blew. I mean, Ski Porn wasn't amazing, but LSS easily killed Push.
 
Well powder awards don't mean anything else but juicy advertising for MSP, but I actually do think it was the best movie out this year.
 
Push was one of the worst ski movies I've ever seen, aside from Pollard's part, and probably the worst $30 I've ever spent.
 
it depends what type of ski movie you are looking to see when you watch it.. i liked it but i am more of a fan of seeing the guys do more rails and park skiing.. lol caus i acctually get te chance to do it.. i love watchin the big mountain stuff bt after a while i get enough of it..and i always wish i was there... i am watching pull while im sittinf at my computer and i have an essay due tomorrow morning that i havnt started.. im watchinc to bonus footage now..lol
 
i thought push sucked. I don't think that MSP knows what kind of music goes with skiing. I always feel more depressed than pumped after watching one of their movies.
 
i think they use music that is reaxing... i like it when im watching big mountain skiing...like a lot of push is.. but not when im watching other stuff..
 
high def what are you retarded...high def is unavailable unless of course you managed to purchase it on blu-ray or HD DVD...but i know you didnt and i know you are an idiot and on of those fags that believe the placebo that is a HD sticker...fuck it looks good on your plasma becuase its a prob fcuking good tv......ahhhhh i hate MSP!!!! and level 1...!!!!

Anyways when he says hi-def he means wide screen and yes it also is in very good definition. Its not just the TV.

Also why does everyone want to suck off LSS? Its good but its totally different and does not have a broad variety of music.
 
no you douche, he is making fun of the loser who created this thread and who doesn't know the difference between one and won. Push was the best movie this year. Abma is crazy good. Bushfield's section was incredible and creative. Wilson is amazing, and super gnar. The japan section was killer.
 
MSp prob paid powder for it, or they threatened them, like they threatened VAS years ago to never do business with them if they put 1242(because it sold many more copies than focused) on their cover.
 
PUSH most definatly deserved it. it had crazy stuff. everything was top notch excpt for rails, and POWDER mag sure aint about rails. I think the Abma shouldnt have won. maybe bushfield but abma was still sick. he had the nastiest road gap/ drop i have ever seen. crazy
 
i thought push sucked and the athlete edited versions have been way better for the last few years...it was almost hard to sit through at the premiere this fall
 
PUSH is pretty decent- Anomaly is better though- Doug Coombs and marc andre segments are really sad but priceless... candide is sick in anomaly too!
 
i haven't seen that many ski movies this year, but i really liked the japan segment in anomoly, but i can't really remember the rest of it. I guess it was because it was just like all their other movies. No, wait, i do remember a really bad snowboard park segment towards the end. None of the tricks really stood out in that segment, it would have been better if they left that part out. Powder probably doesn't like all that snowboarding either. Like i already stated, i thought "push" sucked. There were better movies out there this year. I want a ski movie to get me stoked, not feel depressed. You know that feeling you get when the ski movie has just dragged on too long.
 
I thought it was good but was a little bummed on the similarities that it had to "The Community Project".

i.e. The intro of Community Project- Delivery boy in suburbs riding a bike in the summer

(bonus points for using a cherry picker/ jib arm)

i can see that it was given the "powder" award. theyre alot about big mountain and epic stuff which push had alot of. it makes sense in a sense.

all the people who can't ski worth shit but can do tricks and people who only do park are gonna hate on this and say LSS is better. I think Push is the #1 movie of the year cuz its the best!

I also think that which films people like depends on their age and what they like to ski. I'm older (by this board's standards) and like big mountain more than park, so MSP and TGR films work for me. To each his own.
 
Push was fuckin sick.. but i think show and prove is up there too, especially for their unique style of the movie. both films are sick though.
 
hmm i didnt much like push, to much big mountain and slo mo then i like. some parts seemed repetive, and alot of repeating of shots. im not the biggest fan of msp movies, and push didnt make me that much more into them. however even tho i havent seen it, i herd pull was better?
