If Iggy Pop and the Stooges are considered punk then they'd be number 1 on my list no doubt about it. I have always felt he was a little more rock n roll though. either way i dont care and i love his stuff.
i'm not really into punk. I like operation ivy...is that more ska? I love the clash, but they are way more musically interesting than most punk music in my opinion.
Anybody else have a Last.fm account? It's a pretty cool website... just make an account, install their (virus-free/spyware-free/adware-free) client, and it'll track everything that you listen to (Winamp, WMP, Itunes compatible).
I listen to quite a wide array of music, which this list can attest to. Back when I was in high school, I listened to pretty much purely punk... but since, my tastes, although not particularly changed, have broadened to accomodate many different genres.
