Alright, not to make any st ereotypes here, but basically every single band that driects their music to skaters sucks. Seriously, what happened to real music. Emo Sucks. Ska Sucks. I mean seriously, look at these bands. They come out with one or two cds, think they are the shit, then in a couple of years get pushed under the couch. What happened to bands making an impact on the music industry for 7, 8, 9 years? I even give hip-hop and rap more credit than this newage shit. At least they follow up to their cd's. Next is lyrics and vocals. Seriously, these new bands coming out today ie. taking back sunday, the vines, white stripes, and the like all suck. They sound like pre-pubescent lil'' bastards just out to make a buck or look cool. We need to bring back the real shit, guitar solos, real lyrics, and more than a couple cds.

It's just a phase, youth culture will move on to something new in a little while, I mean it is a culture full of people with ADD, they can't listen to the same genre for too long.

taking back sunday i think is great... at least vocal and lyric wise. Its not the most beautiful voise but he makes it very enjoyable

but yes in general alot of those bands are going downhill but there ae some that are making great music too

yeah dude. bands still make an impact on the scene for many years. nofx, lagwagon, millencollin, green day, bad religion, nufan, good riddance, and so forth have all been around for a log time and are still producing great music. that is all skate punk, and all good. then we have good political punk in propaghandi adn the weakerthans along with anti-flag and others.

true these bands are all popular as far as punk bands go, but they are so for a reason.

if you want to rip on music, rip on the bullshit pop scene where the girls are jsut getting sluttier as their carreres fade away and the bullshit 'rap' is sounding more and more like pop. it's embarassing to all those who created rap.

most of the shit now, like 50 et al. is just overhyped, overproduced shit with no content. the same beat behind shitty lyrics about gats, drugs bitches and cash.

though i don;t like the white stripes, they are still originating music. their breakthrough allowed bands like the vines and others to make it big. i would much rather have stuff like that, where there is actual musical skill involved be popular than britney, 'boy band of the moment' or 50 and his boys.
