PSA: You Can Die Hitting Urban

you never want to hear about this stuff, just makes you sick. Got some friends who are probably taking this hard. Vibes to friends, family, and all. RIP Will

We've all hit our heads and brushed it off like it was nothing, this really brings it home. My new helmet just arrived today and im going to be sure im never without it, RIP and ski on, vibes

Will was one of the most stoked skiers I've ever met. I made some pow turns for him yesterday, still pretty shook up by this news.

Ski in peace will, i hope everyone in nelson is doing okay and staying strong

im incredibly sorry for your loss, my brother lost a close friend a couple years back due to no helmet also, but it was in the trees, not urban. rest/ski in peace...

Schooler Looveee you dude... Still so upset about this. Hope the lines up where are even more filled with powered then you have ever seen. Only the best die young. Everyone else. Please wear your helmets we have lost a great friend, brother, son and everything else Will was. I dont care how good you are or think you are it takes two seconds to put your helmet on.

Schooler Ski in Peace Man

will was a great friend and an idol to me. i remember first meeting him and seeing how steezy of a skier he was. i also remember seeing huge ass hand plants over rabbits wall ride.

RIP will the edmonton shred community misses you

We all think were invincible (or at least i do sometimes) , and sometimes that's the mindset it takes to do some of the shit going down in the urban scene but what Will has shown us, is that we are not. It's just too easy for this shit to happen, and the stakes are just too high. Although I didn't know Will as well as i would have liked, i got to share some experiences with him, got to ride the very same rail the week prior, THE cleanest blind swap i've ever seen, and on Hellbent's with touring bindings.. You were pure gold Will and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have met you. Wear ur helmets. Ski In Peace bro

Man that is horrible news, ruined my day reading that. Plus vibes to the family and friends and RIP!

Anyone else bewildered that he was absolutely fine after the fall, but then hours later he just died? I feel it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a sticky or something explaining signs and symptoms of head injuries, and know when you should get medical help.

Seriously man?? Not necessary to say.

Sukcs to hear about this stuff too, seems to be reoccurring too much. SIP, RIP.

saddest thing ever. vibes to the family and friends. as horrible as this is, there is the obvious lesson to be learned. i dont understand why people dont wear helmets. they think it looks cool to not? they dont wanna put in the cash? honestly u can get one that looks dope for like $60. i dont know about u but i think $60 is a small price to pay to keep me alive and doing what i love. wear a helmet people. why wouldnt u?

To Bomber_bob, Concussions could lead to brain swelling. The thing about making a sticky is that NS can be held reliable and someone would be able to sue if there was any false advice. Things to do is always wear a helmet, know the signs of a concussion, and get checked out after it happen/.

a snowboarder from my home mountain was killed a few years back hitting a downrail in CO. hit his head really hard. be careful out there

Will was one of my best skier friends. I met him at our local hill in 2005. Words cannot explain how much he will be missed. I will never forget the good times we had on and off the hill. The Edmonton ski community lost a great friend this weekend. RIP buddy, god bless.

Btw, he turned 21 yesterday, not 20.

Man i hate to be like this but sorry it was not a freak accident, he had beers and didn't wear a helmet. Always always always wear a helmet, they are comfortable and warm, and save your life!

Vibes for sure! SIP!

If your going to be ignorant enough to say that it's his fault, please just keep your opinion to yourself. There is a lot of people here that have lost a friend, and the last thing we need to see is some inconsiderate prick blaming will for not wearing a helmet or having a beer while jibbing.

wow. that is just aweful. cant believe today is his birthday. vibes and RIP. thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

We all do things we regret though, really terrible that he never got a chance to learn from it. Head injuries are really scary that way, I guess its a good idea to insist people go to the hospital after any head trauma. Most don't want to hear that, or don't comply. Awful that it happenened, especially while he was doing something he loved so much. Definitely a wake up call. ++vibes

this is fucked. this kids friend used to work with us and him and his buddy crashed on our couch for 2 nights last season. really nice kid. so sad. rip

oh. my. god. this is a such tragic event, RIP & SIP and +++vibes to his family. let this serve as a warning, to everybody. I myself was toying with the idea of ditching my helmet when doing urban, but now i will always wear one.

coming from the one that was hitting it with him, it takes nothing to put a brain bucket on your head, and thats a friend i could still have......... there isnt a easy way about it

I WILL wear a Helmet and Shred this season for WILLIS

Love you brother, its not the same with out you
