Proud to be an American

I'm surprised you didn't post something about the most recent Canada Olympic Gold in Hockey over USA. That was a great game to watch even though we (USA) lost.

Well this thread went to shit fast just like every other Nationality thread on NSG.

I've seen a changing of the guard one time and it was a really cool experience. I also stayed and watched the entire 9/11 ceremony at my uni and that too was a very patriotic and cool experience. Theres nothing wrong with loving your country and I don't know how this thread got off on that track. Those guys are baller for standing there all day in the rain and keeping up a tradition even through the bad weather.

I dunno if anyone said this yet but that pic isnt from this current storm. still none the less its a pretty badass picture.

and yes America fuckin rules.

FYI the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has been guarded non-stop since I believe the 30's. Also if the weather gets so bad that outdoor movement is not an option there is an indoor area just below where the walking mat is now to guard the Unknowns.

ive never seen one that looks like that

ours are like:

No, you're right, there really isn't anything "wrong" with loving your country. There isn't anything "wrong" with believing in Jesus or Fairies or Allah or Unicorns either, but that doesn't mean you should be allowed to disrespect other people.

The way the OP expressed his view, it feels no different from racism, putting oneself above others, for something which cannot be chosen. If you are going to post about loving your own country, post about how much you love everyone else's countries first.

now why you gotta go and do that?

Threads going in a pretty good direction, aside from a few idiots who somehow turn nationalism into racism, and then you have to go and post a stupid meme, in a pathetic effort to shit on canadians.

You should be shot in the kneecaps my boy.

Had a chance to go to Arlington a few years ago. Hits you very hard to see the rows upon rows of graves, and then you get to the tomb of the unknown soldier. It is awe-inspiring and deeply moving to say the least, though at the same time I can honestly say I couldn't think of a better place to be lain to rest.

I don't want to shit on anyone.

Anyway I guess this is what you want, so here you go:

I was just in England actually.

Great country, love going there....but dear god, you people are absolutely terrible at celebrating halloween.

oh they were out in force trying to celebrate it regardless.

Kids need to focus less on covering themselves in red paint and being a dead _________ and focus more on dressing like whores and getting drunk.

Hmmmm yeah i guess, it looks like its big in North America. But anyway, Bonfire Night is coming up!

Piles of wood+Petrol+Fireworks=Pyromanics wet dream

um wait so people know about this not being from this storm right, that this is an old picture? or so says the article of hoax pictures 1337. just posted in another thread

My uncle had the option of doing that while he was in the marines. He was getting out though. Thought that was cool. Been there a few times.

visited the tomb a few years ago, one of the more beautiful, patriotic things I have seen in my lifetime.

to those of you arguing, please create another thread for this hooliganism.

you fucking serious? "post about how much you love everyone else's countries first" what if i dont love everyone else's country? and why the fuck do i need to give some country i dont live in any mention when im talking about my love for my own? political correctness is seriously making the world retarded. its now racist to like something/have an opinion, the scary thing is that a lot of people actually think like you.
