Pros=Bad for the Sport

From my experience, i've noticed that pros just complain about everything, for example: when things dont go their way, they cry when they lose, they are permiscuous and drink a lot, they aren't good role models, they fight a lot, like fist fight, they hate all things that are good, they don't even ski for the love so skiing, they do it for the money and free food. next time you see a pro i wouldn't talk to them or anything, just pretend like you don't see them. How can all these bad things be good for the sport? SOMOENE TELL ME PLEASE!

I completely agree with you sir. They are all so bad and such horrible people. After I watched X and the events like the Gravity Games all I wanted to do is kill people and rape them. I bet they're all computer hackers.

you may think that some of them might be bad role models or asses- but i bet just about everyone on here would give everything they had to be a pro and get paid to ski instead of doing whatever we do normally. i know i would.

It wouldn't be interesting if there was news about some unknown skiier hitting someone for whatever reason. You just think that all pros beat everyone up. Not even close to true. You watch baseball, people punch each other sometimes but that doesnt mean people consider baseball bad and too violent. They just consider the individual an angry person.

Pros get the sport known, and they're pros because of their skiing ability, not their ability to punch someone across a room.

Is anyone else really tired of posts like these (almost exclusively made by EXTREMELY uptight and I'm guessing very religious bible belt newbs) about how this or that pro is terrible for the sport because they drink and smoke weed and wear baggy clothes? Yes they smoke weed and drink but seriously who the fuck cares if that's what they want to do? I really don't see pro skiers going out and reading to kids at hospitals any time soon, and even if they did the kids wouldn't even know who the fuck they were anyway, get over yourselves.

wow....no pros are good....and by being "promiscius" or whatever they are just having fun...most people like fun...and most people have fun by partying, deal with it. You expect them to change thier lifestyle when they become pro? and when do they bitch and complain...maybe about ski desgins and possibly movie shoots but thier isnt that much to complain about...and by complaining about these thing, the skis you ride and the movies you watch are, wait, its coming...better, much better. And how the hell do you know they do it for the money? They all love to ski dum b shit...

I sort of agree, I think they are really bad role models and I think that is somewhat important because alot of kids look up to them, they do progress the sport tho, but who says they progress it more then they would be if they were doing it for the love of it?

Without "pros" in skiing, skiing would be nowhere near where it is now. The "pros" are the ones who innovated the sport and brought it to where it is now. They are "pros" because they are the best of the best.

I love little 14 year old minded kids like you. You act like your so empowered and is if you have finally tried to develop your mind by yourself. You act as if you are some sort of astound intelligent and independent thinker that tries to come up with witty arguments. this one time a pro stole my lunch money and locked me in someone elses locker and i didn't get out for 3 days cause it was this kid with AIDS locker. pros are bad people and i don't like them.

 
^^you're right man it has to be a joke but there are so many threads like this by people who at least seem to be serious that it's really not funny, it's more to those who take this seriously to which I refer. Furthermore I think NS would be a lot better on the whole if people stopped making threads with the sole intention of stirring the pot and pissing people off, last time I checked this was a site for those who love skiing, I'm sure there are all kinds of sites out there for those who just want to fuck around and piss people off.

I do agree that there are MANY "Minor" pros (people who get free hoodies and a pair of skies every year) that think they are the cats pajamas and let you know how cool they really are, every chance they get....

but thats the same in EVERY sport...young kids with some skills will talk shit...its part of the fun of this sport
