where i'm at with my opinion on "pro skiers" is right here... I don't feel that it is neccessary for companies to start setting their pro's up with big contract riders, incentives, cars.... This isnt football, baseball or the NBA. I realize that by creating tanner hall (just as an example), the industry has put something out there for kids to aspire to, saying that if they ski harder, they may one day, be able to live that lifestyle, there by boosting sales and the buzz of that particular company. However, i feel kids will push themselves to ski harder and look for innovative products with out all that hype around one person or team.
I'd rather see companies putting their efforts into organizing events, putting out free videos, feeding the homeless..... perhaps I look to deep into my thought here when I say that I think freeskiing, if it takes off, could end up like all other professional sports and get gayed up very hard
