I have a big test tomorrow and am going though my notes and some sample problems from homework. One of the questions is y=3x-41 and I need to find the x and y intercept. I know how to find the x, but forgot how to solve to get the y. Can anyone help? 10/10 for answers!

its been a while but if you can find the x intercept dont you just plug it into the equation and you get y?

You just pug zero in for the variable you are not trying to find.

So y=3(0)-41

y=-41.

For the x variable do just the opposite

(0)=3x-41

-3x=-41

x= 13.7

There you go that's all you have to do.

Whoops my bad, *plug

Remember the YMCA song?

Why does why equal!?

M. X. PLUS. B.

It's fun to stay at the

M. X. PLUS. B.

Keep laughing at me. This shit works to remember things.

Just make y=0 and the answer will be the x intercept. Just make x=0 and the answer will be the y intercept. This is 7th grade stuff.

That post was a last second post before leaving for work. Sorry that I dont always take time to right grammatically perfect sentences on Newschoolers....

Im not in 8th grade...Wisconsins math program is stupid as hell, we just got a new program that is reteaching us everything we learned in algebra 1 "In order to gain a further understanding, in math". Dont think I'm in some stupid class because my math programs fucked up.

I was all excited to help until i found out that it had already been answered like 100 times. What class are you in I am in Algebra 2 Honors (im a sophomore)

ah i remember that stuff. if you take a diff equations course you will actually need to know those...
