14226352:BrandoComando said:They link your calf to your boot even tighter. Since it’s elastic, you can get a super snug fit that works with your leg muscles, as opposed to the static strap or most boots. All this leads to way better power transfer into your skis and way more control.
From my understanding, the elastic band patent is expiring soon and most boot manufacturers will be incorporating first-party “booster straps” into all performance OEM boots launching in the next couple years. If the boot mfrs are going to this tech, you know it’s legit

14227228:anders_a said:thanks! I have a pair of unmounted 112 and 122 here
but kinda holding on mounting as Im considering putting either grifons, jester, or duke PT pro.. or pivot + cast or just pivots...
duke PT toe is kingpin(/alpinist toe, soo yeah and the skis are fairly light
14227296:WillingdonBeauty said:Sooooo the 102’s are lightttt. But the jester pros being full metal are heavy... so overall the skis themselves are kinda heavy. With that being said, the mount at team is pretty far forward. I can easily butter the noses, but I’m having trouble getting on the tails.
I want to get the 112’s and throw some pt12’s on them and use those as a touring/deeper days ski.

14227345:WillingdonBeauty said:Oh absolutely! I have some 2015 Bent Chetlers in a 185 with Atomic STH2 WTR 16’s (I believe they’re metal) and those babies weigh at least 8lbs a ski. But they cruise through crud and variable terrain like nobody’s business.

Never been mounted, in great condition other than some UV discoloration. Hopefully gonna find some cheap bindings to put on em and rip some bumps

Replacing with HF G-60.

X100 V. Never had a nice digital camera before and I'm kinda over film. And after reviewing a lot of my photos it's clear I can deal with a lack of zooming. All the ones I like are at a really similar focal length, and almost always between 24-35mm equivalent.

However, feet have been feeling like they're swimming on lift laps and super unstable while charging fast and landing off stuff in the resort. Also started developing early stage tendonitis in the hinge of my left ankle up into my shin, which is painful and seems very probably related to the boot issue. So taking the week off to ice ankle, and went all out and got the stiffest 130 flex all mountain boot known to man. Got a super good deal too. Stoked!

Some p15s that I'm gonna throw on my kartels (with cast system), literally can't wait to ride those skis in the backcountry
14233189:Lazylightning said:I'm coming off daymakers so anything will be lighter lmao, I do also have a dedicated pin setup so the Kartels are more my charger
14233186:WillingdonBeauty said:I feel so sorry for your legs... I love my Kartels but there’s no way in hell I’d ever put a CAST with metal Pivot 15’s on it to tour. Those things are like bricks attached to my feet with Pivot 14’s, I can’t image trying to skin up with them.
with that being said; I’ll blow through just about any crud or variable terrain without problem and they’re hella fun in deeper stuff so it’ll be a blast coming back down.

my first moment skis, probably to short for me, realisticly, but tested GF boots + my new boots and both fits, aprox 1cm rear of mark.. but.. meh I need the float
