Purchased a CAST setup after they dropped the price to $350. Super stoked. Gonna throw them on my Dynastar Protos.

Will likely purchase two 2nd ski kits at a later date once I figure out what my skinny touring ski will be in addition to getting one for my Dynastar Legend Factory's. Also gonna get some new touring boots once I figure out this toenail issue. Thinking either Langes, Atomics, or Dalbello. Going to have to try them on first obviously.

Given that I don't tour as much as I used to since my friend moved outta Jackson and I'm likely to head off to grad school in the near future (fingers crossed), I have little need for my ON3P Steeples w/ Kingpins since when I travel it's rarely for pure BC adventures anymore.

Still, my quiver is overkill for someone in the northeast but I can't bring myself to sell any of my current options.

I'll never sell my Pro Riders (2x pairs) since they're hard to come by in the US, and the Legend Factory is an ideal deep snow touring ski for big lines, and the Protos are just a fun ski to fool around on. Thinking of either a Woodsman or similar type ski for that skinny "touring"/travel partner ski for the Protos.

Camera for when it's way below freezing! Down to 14F. More fun videos will be happening! Water proof too up to 14 feet deep, or was that 16 feet. 40x optical zoom too! Don't know about follow cam stabilization, but we will find out. Maybe some cool shaky cam though!

What’s the average ski day temp like up there? Always figured it was on the warmer side.

Lots of 20's F It can be sunny, but to cold for my Canon HF G30

I thought about a Sony for the awesome stabilization, but not supposed to freeze those either.

The waterproof and super cold operating make this a good choice. Very inexpensive too.

Drawback is no jack for a microphone as it is waterproof.

I need to test it out for how shaky it's going to be. I like a small cam that I can put in my pocket.

Drawback, built in battery. They claim can go 5 plus hours though.

40x optical is a huge plus.

It only shoots at 60fps.

A true filmer can shoot with anything right? Excited to see how this one works for you. My brother and all his clown friends will be bachelor employees this year.

A true filmer! Ha ha aha ha ha. I just want to have fun! Tell your folks to look me up and say hello and reference you. If they are nice, maybe they can get one of these. One must be "Workin' It" to qualify as well though.

I think she gonna be a bit shaky for sure, but when it is cold and a weekday, the snow can be quite smooth! That always helps.

So many times I wanted some footy, but to cold to use the sweet camera safely. I don't want to wreck a semi-expensive camera to cold operation.

Seems like once the temps are good for staying in range of a 32F or above camera, the snow gets all chopped up once the riders are ready. Hard to get them to Work It early when it is smooth, but a bit harder under foot. Bunch of wimps are they! They come up too late with some excuse, like I work all night!

Bla bla. I'm stoked anyway.

SOB lucky you! All they do around here is ride pedal bikes! Very nice photo.

I’ve been doing a lot of filming and actually started a series called scraps, comprising mostly of whatever action sports we’re doing that weekend.

id love to upload to NS but my purple name got taken away and it’s mostly surfing/skating anyways since we don’t have snow here yet. I’ll probably link it in the surf thread or something once I finish this weeks episode.

it’s been a ton of fun and great for my mental health to be out and doing shit.

some armada pants for the szn

Armada's sizing is really wack, the xs is fitting me well while still having some room to grow into which is surprising cause i would normally be in a medium in north face or sumthing
