Post your camera set up

oh i believe that. that speed is just baffling considering the fastest prime telephoto in their lens lineup right now is the 135mm 2.0L

well, i mean a long tele - i consider 100mm [without sensor crop] and beyond to be in that class. i see the 85mm more as a standard portrait lens. but you're right, at 1.3 or 1.6 crops, it does turn into a long tele by my "triple digit" definition.

On threads, I'll take any technicality I can get to boost my count. Just kidding. No really.

Anyway, Canon should bring back the 200mm 1.8 with IS. Even though I prob won't buy it. it should at least be an option so all the Nikon Fags can't say "you don't even have a current fast 200".

i dont have alot of money and they get the job done, deal?

im impressed with what you've made with that camera.

with your money from tramdock are you able to get an upgrade?

Wow, I can't believe I have to explain this.

Check the heading up top "Post your camera set up" not "Post your school's set up"

I wasn't pwning your pic, just merely stating that the 200 would suffer a great deal from adding the 2X compared to the 400. The 400 pwns the 200 converted, not my pic pwning your pic. Pics can't pwn, poeple can.

"and then i would just find someone around here with a 600/4 and you would have no chance. ha"

You flat out pwned yourself with the last comment. The 200 1.8, 400 2.8, and 600 4 are completely different lenses for different applications. 200 is solid for indoor, close range, low light, 400 for long range indoor low light, and 600 for long range outdoor. None of them pwn each other on their own because they don't overlap focal lengths. when you convert one to match the other an obvious pwnage will occur.

If you have access to a 600, why didn't you use it when you were shooting surfing?

I would have no chance of what? No offense, but are you really that high in the clouds to think your the only one with access to gear?

Isn't it funny, whenever somebody says "no offense" its always followed by something offensive. ha

Leave the great lord out of this! JK

I'm just keepin it real. Ever one else can rip someone for writing something stupid, but when I do it, I'm a douche. Maybe I'll change my name to furryloveimaging to soften my harsh, cock-like attitude.

You don't have to be MF to know the basics.

well if my school had HVX's that I could use I would post a pic of that instead of my GL2 because that is what I would use. I see no reason why having the lens you paid out of your ass for is that much better then still being able to have a pretty sweet lens that you did not pay out of your ass for.

just got it, so tight, wide lens, digi macro, color swap...

I know dude Im not saying you don't know what you're talking about, cause you sure as hell do, but you need to lighten up on the people who don't know as much.

You don't see me going "NO that cam is only good if you're a filthy east coaster" or "NO NO DOESNT COUNT, MINE IS BETTER"

In no way am I attacking your skill or knowledge, Im simply saying that you could be a little nicer to the people who arent as knowledgable.

it's an okay camera, looking into getting something slightly better for this upcoming season.

haha yeah it's removeable. i don't want to take off the lens hood each time i want to use a wide angle lens. it hardly does anything (if anything at all) and i thought that it was kind of a gimmick with it's rectangular shaped inside, i mean it's not like my camera has native 16:9 ccds.

chill out it's a cheap piece of plastic!

Best day ever. Found out I'm a senior, woke up at 10, took a cat nap at 2 and was woken up to find out I had a package waiting for me, look below, then while putting it away I found a chocolate bar from whistler in my camera bag and am eating it as I write this.
