I fucked up my left quad biking a big drop this weekend now I'm worried its gonna affect my skiimg this season. Feels like the type of injury that you can walk on it in a week but its not the same for a few months :((

Fucked up how so? One time I bruised my quad muscle itself and it wasn't right for like 4 months. Takes quite an impact to do that though
 
Fuck I think Im gonna be in the same boat as you man. I hit the drop, blew past the way too small landing and bottomed out losing control then I smashed my thigh off this tree, so it was pretty hard. It hasnt actually bruised yet though so that makes me think it might not be as bad as I'm thinking. Just really sore and when I put weight on or engage the quad it hurts a decent bit. Any advice you got?

Muscle bruising can be really deceptive, there was never any surface bruising visible on mine. It can happen deep enough under the skin where the bleeding doesn't reach the skin to be visible. I had trouble walking for the first few weeks, it's like a really distinct feeling of the bruised muscle being absolutely fried when you try to engage the muscle. Not much you can do other than stay off it and nuke it with ice as often as possible for the first couple weeks
 
I skip all of the broll in most edits. Plz show me skiing I do not need "atmospheric" shots of people in fleece hats or more than 5 seconds of landscape shots
 
Yeah sounds relatable. Thats a bummer I hope its somewhat back to normal before ski season. Tomorrow I gotta get back to work too which involves walking through the bush all day which I think is gonna slow the healing process a little bit. Anyway thanks for the advice man!

Does anyone have any opinions or review of the revolt 86 (other than having to do with birk ruud), thinking about buying a cheap pair for the Midwest when the park is brick

Yesterday I saw Evo had older pescados on Attack 13 demo bindings for like $240. No idea how beat up they are, but that's one hell of a deal

Aww man, i can't find them either. looks like they're gone.

I grabbed a pair of used Season Formas on demo bindings for $500 yesterday and nearly bought the pescados too.

can't imagine why you'd ever want to have less speed and speed consistency in the park. you can always cut speed

also waxed skis just perform better, initiating turns etc all works better with a waxed ski. also sluggish park skiing looks shitty
 
Landed the best trick of my life today but the camera shut off mid trick, tried it about 50 more times and landed it perfect and just double ejected, but I didn't fall or even stumble I just landed both feet on the ground and the skis weren't there, is that a make?

Tried it another 50 times and couldn't get it again lol

I always had the idea that i dont care about waxing cause the rails will just rub it off but i waxed my skis before using my summer rail yesterday and i was fucking flying. made me reconsider
