are blues lift lines much better? that place looks slammed on weekends.

I never bother at either places on weekends. Unless you get there at opening and only plan to ski for a bit that might be ok but once everyone who wakes up late gets there it's over.

Armada outerwear is dogshit. Like fucking terrible. Don't spend your money on that garbage. $300 pants/jacket with the same quality as some shit you'd find in the bargain bin at wal-mart. Zipper pulls rip off, fit is shit, pull bungees that seem like they were made to be caught in the zipper, material as durable as a wet napkin, but hey it's ARMADA so people will drop 2 paychecks on an Armada kit. Idk maybe their highest end gore tex gear is nice but if I'm dropping $800 on a jacket it's not gonna say Armada on it.

Meanwhile Patagonia pants at the same price range will probably outlive your great grand kids. No hate toward Armada skis tho, I have a pair of 7 year old BDogs that have yet to edge crack.

I have one of their goretex coats. I bought it from Evo spring sale about 5 years ago . I use it for a work coat because it's uncomfortable to ski in because it's not baggy enough to move freely. The zipper is very finicky . Otherwise a decent warm coat. I have a snowboarding coat that's a lot more comfortable.

woods are probably dead next weekend so i explored a little today and found some lines at mrg. a little hard but sun softened things up later in the day.

Two full days of hitting urban over the weekend while its sunny and in the 40s. Totally different kind of satisfying than park skiing. Leaving for Mount Bohemia on Thursday and praying they actually get some snow. Catch you out there [tag=256419]@CowboySkibop[/tag] ??

Ooo possibly, I may be up there the weekend after?

Some of the strictly crew pulled up today at Ruby Hill. Stevenson, Egg, Zahner to name a few. Goddamn they’re good. They were chill but I started feeling in the way after awhile since they were so good and lapping and then I got in my own head lmao

holy smokes I might actually finish my video this year if I don't get hurt anymore. Only need like 16 seconds more of footage that I like

Dont think I'll be up there next weekend though the snow may be looking better for then. Really hoping this rain snow tomorrow is all snow for them and the lake effect kicks on with the ensuing cold

Any Osama pro footy?

nah I'm scared to hit rails with them lmao. It will accelerate the deterioration of the vinyl. I've only skied 2 days on them because of that

I put up a goal this year to scare myself on my skis everytime i go, whether than be hitting a rail in a different way or simply going bigger on jumps, and I have found my love for skiing coming back

took a few laps on a friends keys and they were extremely fun. maybe i’m tripping but they even felt better then my wets on small jibby stuff that wet is kinda made for

Big day tomorrow. Little dawn patrol tour with a new group, night skiing with friends and fitting a work day between the two. Yeehaw.

good playful all mtn skis? my ripsticks are not playful at all! sure i can do stuff with them but really do not bend whatsoever.

Fuck I cursed myself, my knee started hurting almost immediately after posting this and has shown no signs of relenting

i get to ski with one of my kids dads, who was a wc racer and raced for UNH so that’s absolutely sick and we’re gonna demo some race skis and carvers i think

Yeah my sumpter bibs are slacking big time durability wise and only feel alright

I get to ski Saturday and I’m sooooo excited. I got used to be able to go all the time, I am now grateful for any opportunity.

Also, the drive won't be worth it this weekend. Unless it somehow hits 40 on Saturday. Even if it does getting to the lift almost guarantees your going over a rockfield rn. Verrrry low tide. Supposed to start getting lake effect this coming week though

It was surprisingly not as bad as expected today. They got a couple inches of lake effect last night and the sun was out most of the day. Conditions should improve throughout the weekend. Projections next week are looking crazy

Maybe I won't be lazy and make the super long 20 minute drive if it actually is okay.

Also, jibba jabba in downtown Houghton. They've got a whole street shutdown for a rail jam type deal. Invite/Snowboarders only tonight but course is open for skiers tommorow.

Should be a fun watch

So bummed Jibba Jabba wasn't around when I was still in Houghton. Setup looks money.
