Post Whats on your Skmind

I pray all the homies hit the fattest cliffs, and every trick they’ve been trying.

Also I hate work, especially when a foot of snow is coming

If they bring back 188s it’s a cop for sure

It is weird that they only made them in the first two years or so. But I guess with Vishnu mentioning that they might drop the 189 that size just isn't very popular. Most park skiers are under 5'10, so it's not a surprise.

Gonna be some heavy hitters out there for sure. Hoping to win back my entry fee/lift ticket with some of the cash for tricks money.

Walked away with 10 bucks for a trick I did, a fleece, hoodie, t shirt, goggles, and gloves. Got lucky and won a giveaway pack. Super fun night all around, didn’t agree with the male finals winner tho

Unnatural backswap is the worst feeling trick on rails. They aren't necessarily hard, they just feel kinda wrong to do.

I'll only do it if they drive and I can make fun of them while stuck in traffic.

It's partly our fault for not getting my roomate up early enough cuz I was up at 6 this AM. Also traffic was fucked on I-80 and the commute sucked, but whatever. Good skiing today with amazing people.

It was fun to watch even with my toes turning into ice blocks.

I don't think anyone agreed. Audrey's cheers were Much louder. I was chatting with a couple people today and Faelen or Forest were our top choices. Also Doca, Drew, Adam.

Powder days low key blow. Traffic, lines, people.

Weekday pow laps tho. Fuckin a. When it's only your tracks you see run after run there's nothing better. Besides free refills.

i know this is stupid and obvious but the process of getting bootwork done and having properly fit boots is indescribable from just heat molding liners. having got vacuum fitted blew my nuts off. life changing.

patience is so huge in having a good day or a bad day. Gotta be able to wait in lines without wanting to blow your head off. Line to get into the canyon, traffic in the canyon, line to park, line to get on the lift, line to get to the spot you wanna drop in.

Honestly, patience is the key. Still had a nice day, but even better today. Super cold but sunny and had nobody on the slopes. Got 10x the amount of runs. The patience to wait another day is key

I think the knuckle huck is really fun but the format feels too stiff, it would be cool to see more people, a longer time frame, and have it athlete judged instead of a panel. More of a big session after all the comps to blow off steam than it feeling like another comp/sideshow comp. Not sure if that’s exactly how it would play out but i think that way its more of something to look forward to at the end.

I just had the worst day skiing at belleayre yesterday when the entire state of new jersey pulled up to the mountain

why does everyone in this niche ass community seem to think the world should revolve around it?

like they get mad about tourist skiers not skiint fucking vishnus or whatever.

i wish i had a cushy enough life to get mad at people who ain’t even doing anything negative or malicious.

i fucking hate u kids

Yea they did! There was pretty much fresh snow and good pockets everywhere we looked besides the main runs.

middle earth/Rohan/helms deep plus the graveyard zones were popping off tho, nobody had been back there and mooost of the Cliffs we checked out we were able to send and have a good soft landing

also they got another 7 inches last night after I left

Ive been around all middle earth/rohan a bunch and love those, but havent found helms deep yet. havent hit the graveyard zones much either just because of the traverse. That where the cliffs are to be found?

Graveyard doesn’t have much for cliffs but just super flowy with a couple good rocks to boot off.

but yea there’s a good cliff left of helms deep trail signage, you have to boot pack up a small incline thru deep snow to it and traverse over like 25 yards to a spot with about a 15 foot vert and if u got ideal speed it’l send you about 20 feet out to a prettty clear runout (by boho standards lol)

hyyype, its so good, worth the bootpack

Rode up to the mountain with a friend today. We were planning on a shorter day but when we got there we noticed a blown coolant hose. His wife agreed to drive parts up once she was out of work so we made a long day of it and did plenty of skiing in the bar. Great Monday.

I just traded use of my employee pass a couple days a week while I’m working for a pair of brand new Spy Marauder goggs and I think I just got the deal of the century. I ain’t even skied with them on yet but they are literally the nicest pair of goggles I have ever put on my face

I wonder what the odds are of Tyrol selling me a season pass if I write them a great sob story letter about how I can’t live in this country ass state without being able to ski

Steamboat got terrain. Kinda hidden and scattered but god damn there are some gnarly cliffs here. Insane terrain parks. Weather is perfect. Weekend kicking off to a sick start.

their pass is $199 in the spring but you should try that lol lemme know what they say

skiing east coast hard pack when it's actually cold friggin sucks, so use to skiing only warm days. this season has been like an average of 45 degrees.
