Post Whats on your Skmind

Are heelpieces on pivots tearing-out indicative of the core being compromised by water or am I just overthinking this and just need to get my skis remounted in a different position? Theyre ON3P Woodsman 116s w/ Forza 18s

I seem to remember twig saying years ago that they were going to release a Salomon park ski that got shelved because of COVID

I saw some kid on pvc today do a blind swap blind swap blind 2. Such a technical trick but feel like it never looks good since it gets rushed. Anyone have any examples of this trick looking good?

Deliberating whether I wanna work at the mtn this year. Free pass and hourly pay to ski but mostly just coach or pay more to ski but get better at park skiing??? Also working at the mtn means working 7 days a week Dec-Apr.

Found out on Monday that work is observing Veterans Day for the first time this year as a holiday. Going to ski the Basin Friday for the last time before I spend a month in Europe. Time is draggginnnggggg

saw a pair of kartels for sale for 1000 already mounted once and with two core shots lmao

Well then, I guess my skis are in fact my strongest asset right now.

i know this is probably the wrong website lol but any tips for getting skin glue off the hair side of skins, the guy that had these before did not fold them properly

Vishnu has scewed how long of a ski i need terribly. Im 5,10 and got 181 sakanas and they are massive, am I chilling if there a lil taller then me

skied today as well. oh man does it feel good to hit some rails again and fuck around on groomers and get loose again. rusty af but it felt good.

Does anyone have any info on Solitudes new terrain park? Supposedly it's opening this Friday, according to instagram stories. Woodward is opening their mini jib park again this Friday too, so hard to decide where to go.

Honestly those are either perfect or too short. If i got Vs i'd probably get 177 or 181 and i'm 5'6

Oh i misread, but still I think the Lines will be just perfect in length, maybe a little long but you'll get used to it and enjoy

They say Sakanas should be skied on a shorter length but honestly, you will adjust to whatever ski you are riding. Don’t sweat it

Ok thanks. It freaked me out when I stood on the center line and saw how much ski was in front of me

1055347.pngMounted up these bad boys the other day. The first set of Jesters I had mounted on them broke like 5 years ago and they sat in my basement til last week when I came across a mint pair of Griffons. I'm probably gonna get a base grind for them since they never held wax well and ran em dry a couple days.

ok so a cork is more of a leaning back/carved rotation right?? and are flatspins any different or are they just really corked?

and what do you call it when the off axis bit of a spin is like set forwards?? if that makes any sense

Cork is technically when your head goes under your hips, I believe. Usually it’s leaned back. Forward is a rodeo.

Flat spin is kind of like a d-spin the opposite way aka if d spin is like a back flip you did while on an axis parallel to ground, a flat spin is like a Lincoln loop you did upright-ish (someone correct me if I’m wrong)

I’m ashamed to say this but I only knew Zack Mousseau as his insta handle - pisstankfitness. I immediately recognized him in the new short Peace Lily with those big ole Hellbents

First sw on. Kinda doo Doo but I'm still proud

It's already shaping up to be a killer la Nina this year.

I've been watching the weather over the Pacific all autumn and can definitely say it's chaotic lol. Apparently Kamchatka is getting completely fucked over by intense winter cyclones. Hopefully North America gets that kind of energy

A proper flatspin is set across your body, cork is set up and around your opposite shoulder. A flatspin feels like a flip while a cork feels like a spin. Flatspin comes close to a bio sometimes (which is like a cork, but set forwards) and really high spinning flatspins often turn into bio.

Flatspins even when set more back are pretty distinct from cork.

i got a pair of old, rusty, clapped out factions with two core shots and some minor delam in the tails BUT they have a pair of perfectly good pivot 12s on them, realistically how much could i sell those for on fb marketplace

Skied for the first time this season. Ended up lapping a crew who pushed me bit. The pain all through my right quad tells me I have some bad habits to break. As in when I get nervous or in tight spaces I rely too much on the right leg and get backseat.

It was fun! Never waited for more than a few minutes for a chair and snow was overall pretty good. They opened Western express but all the steeps were nasty and the groomers on it icey. Otherwise pretty great!

Hell yeah dude. GDub is a real good time. Love that fucking thing so much. It's soo groovy on a powday. So many good turns to be had. Glad you enjoyed it. Brighton is to me what a Midwest ski area is like but out west.

Crushed mug root beer can works like a charm.

What’s a good replacement for a pole basket if I can’t get an actual basket. I had a 3D printed one on there for a while but it finally fell off and I no longer have access to a printer.

Had a sick opening weekend back at the local. Got some good clips and felt like Im already ahead of where I was last year for rails

are you planning on coming to bird any time on your trip?

No plans, it was just a one day outing. Would love to hit the bird at some point though.

Mountains need to quit grooming every trail early season. Saw so many people sliding uncontrollably down borderline unedgeable hard pack on a trail that the day before was a sick whale back and bump run. If people want to straight line shitty groomers all day that's fine, but leave one trail ungroomed for those of us who want to have fun.
