I don't even know what the goal is here. Everyone's always saying they want their skis to be less responsive.

yeah it's a total joke to my eyes, but i'd be interested to see how they feel to ski just out of curiosity (and to see how they handle a few super flat landings!)

this isn't a real product right?

i definitely checked for an April 1st date haha. idk i think it's real, or trying to be. lots of goofballs out there with ambition and no sense of judgment whatsoever

i came across it on unofficialnetworks (the pinnacle of journalism) and watched the video on there. didn't go to their site cause it gave me that "this site is not secure" warning you get when it isn't https

i feel like if we wanted to go the route of creating suspension for skis (we dont) the leaf spring system like your car has would be much more efficient with weight and ergonomic to use than 4 mtb air shocks lol.

what's ski talk?

Boring ski website for boring people who are not cool or young enough for NS and not hardcore enough for TGR, but are level or two higher than reddit people. Gear parts of ski talk and TGR have the some of the same people spinning around though. So basically ski forum for normies.

Another forum yes but the bigger thing is the guy who runs it has a shop. And actually test tons of products with reviews rather than people just talking out of their asshole about something they’ve never touched. Case in point they will be testing these new bindings to see if they’re bs or legit.

i have an urge to jump on that thread and talk shit lol. but i wont.

looking at it again, still think its fuckin terrible. also, the brakes in that pic sure as shit arent reaching the ground. that thing will be way heavier and a jerry seeking missile.

has potential for straight lining rowdy spring lines in old snow i guess lol

Oh I agree it seems like an absolutely ridiculous idea, but I am excited to see these dudes actually test it out.
