They will if you ask nicely. Just watch out you don't get caught in a gang war between non-natives, it's dangerous in the south.

booked a trip to mozambique this fall and then another to cape town. looking at the canary island, shits cheaper to fly too outta NYC, Philli or boston than to hawaii!! Has some stops usually but still sick

Canaries are super dope. I’ve been a few times. We fly direct from Newark to Tenerife with United. It’s one of the only if not only direct flights from the US. we’ve hiked the volcano, hiked the rain forest and trekked the national park as well. I know you’re young but they have 5 wine regions on the islands and they are one of the only places in the world to have “old world” wine grapes and vines that were not hurt by the wine diseases that overtook European vineyards.

highly recommend going.

Have your fam rent a car. It’s super easy to drive everywhere.

ngl morocco, algeria or turkey would be sweet too. like a less expensive greece or italy with frankly a more interest culture

The ancient Greek ruins are very interesting, definitely worth it to see.

My experience with Morocco is that 70% of the people in touristy areas only exist to scam, coerce, or pickpocket tourists. Having to deal with that nonstop really ruined the country for me. I like Mediterranean europe much more (though there are plenty of North Africans, Albanians, and Gypsies doing the same things there, it's not nearly as bad as Morocco)

Is gambling on debates a thing?

It is and after last night Trump was the heavy Fav.

They both sounded like idiots but the golf argument had me crying.

Trump was more perturbed by biden's golf handicap lie than anything else.

With how different these things are from a real debate structure that actually can be scored, you gotta be such a dumbass to put money on a subjective contest of opinion like a presidential debate

I actually liked that format a bit more. It controlled both candidates from speaking out of turn. Biden had better points than trump but the inflation issue is a serious problem.

Biden also kept talking about the economy is better than when trump left office but do people forget that it was democrats shutting everything down because of COVID? like the economy sucked not because of Trump... it sucked because Biden forced people to take a vaccine to keep their jobs along with keeping people at home and shutting down small business.

Forbes says $19,000 was wagered on if they would shake hands, and then others were betting on if a candidate would use a certain word. You definitely aren't limited to betting on who will "win" the debate.

Its not based on "winning" the debate. The things you can bet on aren't subjective. You bet on props like "who will get the first question", "who will have the longest answer", "how many times will X candidate say Y". Things like that.

Still lame, but it is something that's measurable at least.

True, I forgot about all those silly side wager things

Morocco sucked imo, I’d spend more time in the Balkans again over that tourist trap.

I agree 100%. I love the Balkans. Once you get out of the overtouristed parts of Croatia and Greece, the locals are very welcoming. Especially in Bosnia, people seemed very excited that their country was becoming a desirable place to visit

i’ll be traveling alone lol. I’ll be 18 in two months so they don’t rly care. Not an huge drinker anyway, if I do drink it’s usually just Anejo. But sweet advice! I’ve been dying to check them out, esp since i’ve got a bunch of airline miles with my credit card. Will def get to hiking, no matter where. Then some days near the water.

Only way these trips don’t happen is if my parents make me go to Hobart WS this fall. If not I’ll have a year to keep interning for Cornell, studying, writing, rowing, add more travel then go to which ever school gives me the most money or seems worth the most money.

If you’ll be 18 you’ll be good to drink there. The wineries are very cool. Old world style. Owned by little families. The food is amazing and super affordable. We just asked for some bread and fruits/cheese to eat with the wine. The farmer cooked us a leg of pig with fresh blistered tomatoes he grew.

yeah exactly, i felt that "bridge from asia to europe" feeling really hard there, which by itself makes it super interesting so even if i hadn't enjoyed it i would've learned so much. great objective to look into some time

guys wish me luck, im not getting ghosted by a match on Hinge or not saying something really awkward yet

also major ditto to travelling alone/road tripping alone/moving across the country alone, etc. It was the scariest yet most kick ass thing ive ever done in my 28 years on planet earth and it gives you new appreciation for every day life instead of the same old shit you were once dealing with

Damn bro why are the alps so much more populated than the rockies. It is so easy to find a solitary hike in Colorado where you will see nobody else for hours, but in the alps you cannot get away from people. There’s trails and towns and houses everywhere. Alps are steep as hell too. I can’t follow a little stream uphill without getting basically cliffed out. It’s beautiful as hell tho. It’s like a jungle compared to the rockies.
