Post whats on your mind

Damn bro why are the alps so much more populated than the rockies. It is so easy to find a solitary hike in Colorado where you will see nobody else for hours, but in the alps you cannot get away from people. There’s trails and towns and houses everywhere. Alps are steep as hell too. I can’t follow a little stream uphill without getting basically cliffed out. It’s beautiful as hell tho. It’s like a jungle compared to the rockies.

Alps are smaller area and so are the countries. There are not too many options to choose from if most of your country is covered by mountains.

Just looking from pictures and stuff I think Alps look better than the Rockies.

They didn't lie when they said that I can't surf in Finland.

Back in my hometown. The place where all of it begun and hopefully the place where it all doesn't end.

europe is significantly older and therefore more population dense and built out. its ironic you say that though because colorado has continued to see a steep population increase my whole life and now i feel like it takes some effort to find places to go without an influx of people.

both have their own beauty for sure but i much rather have the hypeness of the american people than the staleness of europeans. you cucks seem unenthused all the time.

europe is about half to land area but well

over double the population so its over 4 times as dense. so any time you’re like damn this is crowded just imagine if it were quadrupled. the skier visits and bike visits they do are huge and we never talk about it here for a few reasons. 1 there’s sooo many entities involved like old farmers who decided to incorporate their land into a ski resort vs a corporate entity 2 they don’t have the same laws or financial structure so its not really apples to apples.

It’s super cute how im literally the first thing you think about every day and the last thing you dream about when you go to sleep, And your first thought is what can I post today to get his attention. I’m flattered homie really.

It’s so sweet of you to come out as gay on the site and that I’m your choice to have a super duper crush over. I’m sorry to break your little twink heart but it’s never going to happen.

I’m not gay like yourself. I don’t want to fuck men like you do. I’m sorry. Best of luck on your future gay endeavors though.

Yup your skiing culture is better but I was talking about how the mountains look.

Cheering happens though, not as much but it happens. I like it that way, Sometimes in social media I see clips from the US where everyone is screaming and cheering to everyone, To me this excessive cheering sounds forced and something that people do just because you are supposed to do it. But that's just an opinion from someone who prefers to fly under the radar.

This goes into the same gategory as people hyping in the climbing gym, "yeah yeah you can do it" stfu I want to climb in peace.

Definitely a cultural thing, I've heard multiple Americans go to Scandinavia and comment about how people are not extroverted at all and always mind their business. There are benefits and cons to both, definitely really annoying to be an introvert in the USA tho

Another reason for the more populated alps is the structure of the valleys. The Rocky Mountains are a much older mountain range than the alps, and they haven’t had glaciers for a long time. because of this the valleys are very V-shaped due to river erosion. The alps were carved by glaciers that receded only a few thousand years ago, so the valleys tend to be steep on the sides and flat in the middle, kinda like a U-shape. This means the alps are much easier to settle. There are tons of other factors like annual precipitation, making the alps much more wet, almost like a temperate rainforest in some spots. Another factor is the longitude, and since Europe is much more north than the US, the treeline is thousands of feet lower because of how little light the trees get in the winter. This in turn makes it very convenient to graze cows above treeline. Sorry for the wall of text I could talk about this stuff for hours

You could open a bike lock with loud power tools downtown and people would give you just a side eye and do nothing, maybe post about it to local Facebook group.

Avarage Nordics might be considered to be introverted, but I'm even more than that

What's your favorite rock or mineral or both

i just watched like 5 mins of the debate and it was literally just them going back and forth calling each other the worst president ever and totally ignoring the questions we're cooked ?

I have absolutely no clue when or why women's olympic track outfits changed to bikinis but I am not gunna argue

Seriously tho it can't be worth it to save 3 grams in fabric right?

I mean I cant really talk shit as one of the many dreaded CO transplants, but you know things are kind of back to normal when you're annoyed by all the tourists and traffic.

Yeah I always thought that was weird. The olympics doesn’t require anybody to wear a specific suit but for women the “standard” outfit is a little strange for me

For a hot second I thought you meant dreaded as in you have dreads

I mean it kinda just comes w skiing inbounds, and if youre under a lift definitely expect to get chirped up.

Only gets annoying for me when im trying to learn some tech bullshit in the park and randoms start yelling at me before I drop in or after I fuck up the trick

Liftline chirps is what skiing is all about

last time i was there it was really sad because all the trees were just dead from that beetle. i hope they've recovered.

since monarch is pretty mid, salida is my current dream retirement place. of course, ya boy is far far away from retirement so that town could change significantly from now until I am at retirement age but its got a great music scene, river sports, mountain biking, close to monarch, good art, 2 hours to the front range, etc.

Salida is still fairly close (within an hour) to summit county and I think 2.5 hrs from wolf creek

There’s a dude singing country music with a full setup in Salida’s Walmart right next to the self checkout. I’m from South Carolina and I’ve never seen Walmart get this level redneck lmao

CO is the most redneck place ive ever lived. I love the term "colorado casual" for golf which means cowboy boots and jeans are allowed at some courses in Grand County. Shit absolutely fucks to see a rancher hit a nasty tee shot.

filled up pen v2 with ink for the first time. went to test the integrity of my seals by pulling the piston rod as far out as i could, reached a point where it was very difficult to pull any farther and figured id yank harder to find that i ruptured the two seals holding the ink inside the pen getting ink all over my hands and sink.

Some people are stupid as fuck. Some retard christian was pulling a trailer with big ass anti-gay sign on it during a pride parade. And then he drives it to a place where HELride skateboarding event was. His dumbass sign got destroyed by the skateboarders and now he and other conservative people are blaming the pride parade for this:D. What did he think was going to happen. This same dumbass said in an interview that he didn't think his sign was provoking.
