Post whats on your mind

Sorry to flex like this: but I’m in Florence Italy atm and I just copped a sick ass edition of the divine comedy

(Ik it belongs in post your recent purchase but I barely post there so idc).

Leatherbound, hardcover, gold leaf imprinted, WITH the original tin print pictures by Gustav Dore.

shit cost me an arm and a leg, but honestly so worth considering it’s the supreme masterpiece of western literature.

like look at this shit- I can’t wait to crack into this once I get it home safely

Studied this a couple years ago in college, can’t wait to read it again. Tomorrow I’m doing Dante’s walk of exile, from the center of Florence into the countryside. Can’t wait.

Relationships be hard. Thought is was going super well, but she has some concerns and doubts that we need to work through. Not easy to work through when I leave today for a trip that has me out of cell service for a week. I want this to work out but have also never been in a serious relationship like this before. Is it normal for relationships to have high a low points or is it really supposed to be a fairy tale all the time?

My reaction to spending hundreds of dollars on a paddleboard just to find out you need a permit to use it on literally every lake and they're already sold out of permits

Freedomland where you are not free to do anything.

Paddleboarding on a calm lake is on the same mediation level as watching storm getting closer, walking in a forest alone or walking in a country side with no one else in sight. So it's on the top meditation level.

Someday I'm going Paddleboard to a random island and camp overnight there..

Go to Lake Wellington. I don’t think you need a permit there but you do need a day reservation. Not hard to get.

Wellington is 2 hours away lmao, most of the close lakes are sold out of permits for the summer, im at Lake Macintosh in Longmont rn where you don't need one but boulder res is like 10 min away from my house and I just can't go there to paddle at all this summer

Its open-season here near RMNP. I haven't seen a Fish & Game officer at all. They're super understaffed at the park as well as in town so people are just doing whatever the fuck they want. Theres dudes pulling off on the sides of the roads and camping, houses getting broken into by squatters, etc.

When I said every I was being dramatic, only some of them. But paddleboarding is so fun and relaxing, especially in the ocean or mountains

Do they make you register everything like that up there? We only have to register if it’s over 16 ft or motorized. So paddle boards are all good. I have a kayak I scuba dive off and no resignation either since it’s under 16ft

I think it's weird that freedom to roam concept doesn't exist there. I can walk on anyones land if it's not bothering, same for camping. I can paddleboard where ever I want. Needing a officers to keep people behaving sounds bizarre, monkeys.

I understand officers for safety reasons since consequences for getting lost are bigger.

Nah Im kind of with seeing people do some redneck fishing and just pull-off to the side of the road for a few hours. I haven't paid a single penny to access the park trails or recreation areas

It is, so much history and cultural significance crammed into one city- and you can walk to get everywhere.

Today I did Dante’s walk of exile. You start at his house, go past the main square, down to the river, then you walk the river out of town and walk to a historic village in the country side.

Super fun, the countryside was gorgeous and it was so cool to retrace Dante’s steps.

I know. It is wild. I think the oldest place I visited there was a church built in, like, 1093. Such a cool place.

My sister did a semester abroad there so we visited her for a family trip a few years back.

Idk but probably, when I was on the east coast I had an unregistered boat for like 10 years and would whip around long Island sound all the time, dump canoes and camp wherever we felt like it. Out here (maybe not enforced) but youre supposed to register a fuckin paddleboard, reserve campsites, and pay fees to have campfires. It's just because so many ppl live here and even more are always visiting. Idk, def annoying tho

Where the hell are you going that you have to pay fees for a campfire?! Lol

In fairness, I don’t really ever go to the reservoirs on the front range. I’m more likely to go to the foothills or jeff co parks.
