yo dog i been there and am currently feeling better after a year and a half of feeling like absolute shit everyday (im 22 years old and suicide was a common thought although it never got to the point where i thought about exactly how i could do it) and it only took me a couple weeks to seriously improve. my advice is to eliminate all the things that give you a sense of instant gratification. these things for me were eating junk food (mcdonalds, candy) smoking weed, using nicotine products, jerkin it (yes seriously, i even got laid for the first time in months the other day, it was awesome), watching tv, looking at stupid shit on the internet (sorry ns i do still love you) playing video games (i played league of legends religiously and quit cold turkey) and basically anything that you can run to to feel better right away. as lame as it sounds, you need to work for your happiness. its so much more rewarding and it gets you into a trend of doing productive things. being sober really helps too. i used to get blazed all day every day and at first when my bro gave me this advice i thought "fuck no. i love weed. I LOVE IT." but after a few days of thinking, i decided to just stop doing all this shit that i did everyday and started trying my best to be productive and kick it with my family. now that its been a few weeks im feeling so much better. started working out, working on getting a better job, talking to more chicks, and started feeling a whole lot more positive about myself. just remember, the human race is an amazing species, and although there are a shit ton of humans on this planet, each one is unique and incredible in there own way and if you think you aren't well then youre straight up WRONG. buck up bro. hope this helps
