How do you find strategies to make your life more productive. I've never been a list maker, but I am trying now and find it hard. I'm sure how detailed I have to be. And goal setting is hard. How do you break down a goal into what steps to take? Why is life confusing?
Finding the right way is hard, especially if you are someone whose thoughts are running around all the time. I still haven't found a working way to study things that require you to memorize things. Like studying history or law or reading physics. Reading doesn't work, notes not too much. Studying math and calculating physics are easier because I'm actually using the things I studied.
Having a proper schedule helps lot. You will never be productive if you do things when you feel like doing them. Set deadlines.
If you are doing something passive that requires lot of thinking and focus, your breaks must be more boring than the thing you are doing. Don't pick up your phone on breaks. Instead stare at a wall, relax, stretch, take a short walk. Don't do anything that gives you too much dopamine.
First step in setting goals is that have a clear goal you are working towards. It's harder to get motivation if you don't know what you are working towards. Work towards one goal at a time. Seconds step: It's very important to break your goal in to smaller steps, Feeling of completing something gives you dopamine and motivation to work towards the next small step. Thirds step is discipline.
for earlier small steps you need to be good at the basics of whatever you are doing. List the things from basics that you need to work on. It's quite hard to do algebra if you don't know how to add or multiply numbers. It's quite hard to k-fed if you can't do a rail slide.
I usually jump head first in to the thing and see where I fuck up or get stuck. And from there I start building the lacking basics and set the steps.
Life is confusing because of our complex emotions and information overload.
