not a rail, but a drop in. its 8 ft tall, and sitting on top of a hill thats like 8-10 ft of vertical.

might be lame looking, but that style of rail is one of the most progressive/fun/durable rails i have ever hit. I have one with the same pipe, just a little taller. Yours also looks very well made.

hes pushing it a little bit so the ramp flows nicely into a natural hill. there might be some manipulation of snow to make it smoother, but it'll be fine.

I would say it looks pretty good. I have never made a rail with holes in the top, but i couldn't imagine it being too much of a problem. Also, I haven't really made too many rails with vertical supports, but i have seen many others on here with them, i am sure it will work just fine. If the rail, for some reason isn't as sturdy as you would like it, try triangles like a post a couple posts up. Next time if you want to cut down the cost try and find some left over wood at construction sites or something. But that rail looks pretty sick there, good work.
Coincidentally, I just finished a rail very similar to this one this afternoon. It is twelve feet long with two 1.5 inch pvc pipes. I can't wait to try it out.

we sessioned it for a few hours this morning (i love homeschooling...) i suck at rails and i stared it down too long, but my brother got some good hits.

we had an interesting experience with the in run..

we set this up first

it was no good



my brother had trouble staying straight on the inrun



haha face plane onto icy carpet...

we then set this up



and shortened the inrun by around 12 feet and started getting some hits.

it's ghetto and sketchy, but we had a lot of fun. all we need is a little snow...

it took me about a week to do both sides. and each colour has 2 coats. well worth it in the end though!
