POLO: The Next Big Fad in Skiing

i laugh so hard everytime i see this. ski ballet looks so similar to park skiing now...its sad. Everyone makes fun of it, but then goes and practices it in the backyard to see if they can "invent" some cool new move. NOTHING IS NEW. we all steal it from somewhere else. our sport will only progress as far as other sports have.

it should be all about hanging out in the lodge, fake goggle tans, and looking cool. who the hell actually likes to ski, weirdos

Yeah, i do. and i believe alot of other people who didnt start skiing just because it was trendy or when they were like 13---> remember it too.
why to start huge arguing only because he said ''back when it didnt matter how you looked like, you just wanted to have fun'' I think he never said that he doesnt care how he looks like when hes skiing..
and anyways, yeh, its cool that you want to earn respect and look ghood in slopes, but seriously would you like to wear 8xl tees and newest jiberish suits, and just stand top of the hill showing off. OR would you wear your little jacket, tiny pants and ski alot n' have fun? but i dont want to start this over, its just mine opinion. everybody has their own opinions and theres no need to comment bad things about them.

also theron you misuse 4 out of every 5 figures of speech you use. maybe you should spend more time doing schoolwork or talking in real life rather than talking straight out of your ass on this forum in every single thread

i wouldnt normally be such a dick to a 15 year old guy but it's pretty clear you need to learn your place and realize youre not fooling anyone, talking out of your ass in real life isnt as easy as it is in your little world

Seriously?

Okay so they may drag their tips but really. Bringing a different aspect of skiing and making it different and adding rails and switch ups and what not is called progression and I think the "ski ballet" tricks on rails and boxes look cool as shit but that is just me. To each their own.

Please show me an edit from a couple years ago that has stuff that Andy Parry and others are doing. They are pushing skiing in their own direction and doing some super creative tricks that they enjoy doing. It isn't "new" technically but like I said before they are just bringing another aspect and part of skiing to rails and jibs and what not. They are just putting a spin on something old and making it "newschool".

Also I don't see people doing pole flips onto rails...yet.

get mad kid. his point is you dont remember. you werent around. but whatever fuck it. you had a good point.

with the dope outfit comes th dope style.

no style with no outerwear

it's all about the outerwear man

you are such a fucking tool. just read your posts in this thread and realize how dumb you look. STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON WHO THINKS SKIING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HOW LOOK, NEWSFLASH ASSHOLE, YOU AREN'T. you're 16, stop acting like you've been around since back in the day and know whatsup with the old times. you dont. i dont either but i dont go on posting like i lived it.

In my personal opinion i see everyone hating on everybody. pretty annoying but hey a lot of people enjoy a good argument. esp about something EVERYONE on ns is passionate about....SKIING!! what you wear reflects on who you are as an individual. trends come and go so wear whatever the fuck you want and get steezy.

this thread is facepalm. and is it really necessary to hate on peoples age all the time? I'm 15 too and i don't feel too hated here. not every kid is a little bitch about everything. so, why the hate?

Polo is already popular on the hill. Wasn't polo a sponsor of the US olympic team? Polo ski jackets make people feel like they are rich and glamorous when they ski.

Unfortunately ralph lauren doesn't make tall tees, only U.S polo assn.

might be a valid criticism if you didn't have in the neighborhood of 8,000 posts. I may post a lot, but I try and make them thoughtful/purposeful.

Most of the time, they are thoughtful/purposeful. But sometimes, you come off very arrogant and a "know-it-all", if you will. I appreciate you as a member of NS for sure, but at times maybe you should just mellow out a bit. Just keeping it real.

and as for my posts, I joined NS a long time ago. I was an "NS kid" if you will, and posted a ton, but I've since grown up and realized that this website sucks most of the time and the internet isn't actually real/doesn't actually matter.
