ive been waiting for that post. if i had titled this thread, i certainly would've quoted Jay-Z.
Anyways, from my observations older skier trying to learn in the park don't fair to well on jumps at first. Just ski around in the park kinda, practice skiing over the kuckles of the landings and getting a little air, go faster and faster, etc. just get used to the way transitions feel, it'll make landing an actual jump a lot easier and more comfortable when you start doing it.
Also maybe try a little box. They might look scary, but a box that's nice and low doesn't really have that much risk. Probably one that's really wide so you can 50/50 it and stuff first. it'll help your balance a lot, and your overall skiing as well.
slalom is just turning when someone tells you to, where's the fun in that?
