Pink Flamingo Camp is a camp that we have been putting on at Perfect North Slopes for the past 3 seasons. It is typically an after the season camp that allows us to build pretty much whatever we want, and then people can come and get some instruction on learning spins and jumps, and sliding rails. Even though this is just a ski site it is open to both skiers and boarders. Typically we have features that range from beginner to help new riders learn, all the way to highly advanced including 50'+ booters.

PFC IV will be at Perfect North Slopes (www.perfectnorth.com) on March 17th and 18th. For $100 you get...

*Lift tickets for both days

*Breakfast & Lunch for both days

*PFC IV T-shirt

*Coaching for your specific skill level of riding

*Access to some of the best Terrain Park Features seen in the Midwest

*A Grab Bag full of goodies from the camp Sponsors

PFC North will be held at Cascade Mountain (www.cascademountain.com) on March 24th and 25th. The price for it is also $100 and you get all of the things above.

If you sign up for both camps you can save $20.

Wait so if perfect has enough snow to stay open through then, you guys will just shut down the park, and make people pay 100 to hit it, or will it get moved back?

I really hope you guys would push back the dates since we had a late season, with only the beginner runs open for a little bit, and we just now got the park up(with jumps that is). So that would mean that i bought a season pass to ski, and hit the jumps for a month? Im not bitching really, i just cant imagine you guys shutting down before then, with all the snow we have right now.

dude why dont u guys have the set up this year like 2 years ago... that jump line looks sick.... the jump on jump off thing this past year was fun but u cant really try new stuff off of it... and then u only had that one jump at the bottom... a jump line like 2 years ago would be so sick

And why do they already have a date set? That just doesnt make sense to me since we are in the prime of our winter right now. Why wouldnt they want to stay open as long as possible since they kinda had a late start?

i believe they close in early march, because people lose interest in skiing in indiana when it starts to get warm.... so they arent making any money... which i agree is a lame excuse but whatever... if u want to ride more pay to go to pfc... however if by some freak crazy chance this artic air we've seen lately doesnt go anywhere and its like teens and 20 through march i dont see how they wouldnt be forced to push back PFC and stay open.... then, it would really make no sense for them to close considering people would still come and theyd make money.... but yeah

Here's how I would look at it. for two days of lift tickets at a different ski area it would be about $80. To travel to get there and back it would be like $70, to eat it would be another $25, lodging could be like $100 and then there are some general expenses. That is about $275 or so just for one weekend at a different ski are, and I was being very generous with prices. Think of PFC as a weekend at a place that isn't perfects.... $100 isn't bad at all. IT's soooooo worth it, and it's one of the most fun parks I've ever skied. Yeah, i've been to Stratton, Shred PC regularly, rode the X-games course, and I can still say PFC is about the same, or even more fun.

GO THERE!

I can understand your view Rasta... however we are still 4 weeks away from even the proposed end of season, and a lot can change in that time, its supposed to be like 50+ next week so we may have no snow and it could look like hell out. If that is the case then people will want to golf and not ski, thats just how society in general works. I know that you and me we think that if there is snow on the hill we're gonna wanna be rockin' it, but we are the tiny minority. I also know that to us in this "community"(NS) we feel like we would be able to sustain a ski area's business, but we couldn't... we're cheap riders who like to have a good time and not pay for it. Let's wait for the weather to do what its gonna do and see how it pans out. If the weather is condusive to skiing then we will probably stay open, however we won't be able to push back PFC due to schedule conflicts, it will just have to be all of chair one and be badass... it has happened before and it sucks but we can still make it awesome.

Tad

Yes i understand the weather changes crazy around here so yeah we just will have to wait and see. But what im saying is if Perfects does stay open past that date or during PFC, me as a season pass holder will feel cheater bc i wont be able to ride the park like i normally can. Yes the set up is awesome and you guys make some sick shit happen at PFC, but us poor college kids might not have the extra hundo to spend to ride the park. So we would be fien just riding the park as it is bc its nice right now, not huge but nice. Im not trying to bitch, ive been to PFC once and torn my MCL on the first run of the second day, im just saying if the hills are open id like to be able to ride the whole hill and not have to pay any extra money.

But you'd still have to pay for lodging and travel to get to PFC. I don't know where lodging would be 100 dollars for just 1 night though. Even 2 nights wouldn't be that much. It still seems like a good deal though.

My post was directed to the other kid who is a local. Assuming he'll stay at his house, and only drive 30 mins to get to the hill.

plus there are like 3 different hotels to stay at that are 5 minutes away from the slopes . and perfects is lookin like it is going to close the 11th since there was a freaking monsoon today that is lame

is there any way that i could get all the waviers emailed to me so i can have my parents sign them an stuff befor i go down there. since im juss going out with a bunch of friends this year. or do i not need to worry about waviers? last year i kno there was some stuff my dad filled out.

Yeah we would rather have you pay online... otherwise we have no idea how many people are coming... i'll see if we can get it so that you can register but pay day of or something.

Tad

yea that would be a lot better like you did it last year. im goin to utah for a week and i dont get my next paycheck till the week after that so i dont want it to fill up and miss out.

Rasta, you need to get your shit straight brother. Perfects hasn't said whether it WILL or WILL NOT be open yet and it is all weather dependent. I was told today that there is only a 10% likelyhood that we will be open on the 17th and 18th, so lets wait for the weather huh?

As for the 70 footer, as long as Perfects isn't open then there will be a large jump on Center Stage likely, as to the actual length we don't know yet, because we won't be able to start pushing snow until after the 11th. Even IF Perfects is open there will be some unique features that won't be accessible to the general public, that will be pretty sick. Naturally this OBVIOUSLY won't make everyone happy, because someone has been having a very negative attitude about all of this, however we're trying to make the absolute best of WHATEVER the situation is.

You should all come,

Tad

We will probably cap it off at around 200 but even if we get to that number we probably won't make it limited... If you have to you can come day of to Register but we would really rather you didn't just because we really need to know who all is coming. If you defenitly plan on coming send me a PM with all of your information and i will add it to our list and you can pay day of but if it can be avoided i would recommend.

We're starting to get all of the free swag in and its pretty bitchin' stuff, pricy stuff for end of camp prizes and its sounding like we're going to be getting quite a lot so get pumped and come to camp!

Tad

Yeah Tad. Gettin shit done. My stoke factor is at about a 8.2 right now. Keep it up.

Everyone not going to Midwest Massacre should go.

I was there last year, it kicks ass. Tad, I was going to send you a msg but figured I would post here in case others have the same question. I was at the camp for both days last year, any chance you can allow one day campers this year? I know I can do Sunday but I have places I need to be on Saturday.

Everybody else, the camp is legit and the vibe is great, you should all go.

Tad i was just thinking positive man, i want to ski as much as possible you know. Ive never bashed PFC if you noticed, all ive done is express my opinion on staying open, and PFC if they are open. Like you said they have a 10% chance they said. Thats fine, im not trying to ruin your camp or anything, i went to the second one you had. It was fun, just broke kid that hates to spend extra money you know. It doesnt matter anyways bc i might be done for the season with another torn MCL.

^ It's people like you guys.... keep it up.

I'm so stoked to be coming home for it...... get your hucking pants ready..
