Photoshop question

ok im working with photoshop elements 4.0. i need to know how to make my pic less pixelated.

If you have a small resolution picture, then it's probably not going to get any less pixelated, start with a high resolution picture.

If your creating something then choose a high resolution in the File>New... are, and if you want more pixels per square unit, then choose that too.

E.g. of a higher resolution.

exactly, get a better camera, if you r using ur phone, ur kinda out of luck.

No your starting out too small. You would need to find a bigger version of it if you wanted it to be better quality.

you cant really just add more pixels, your going to have to restart and make it a higher res. file.

i have no clue where to get a higher res of this pic. so im screwed right?

Pretty much, you can't just put a picture into PHE and expect to do something and have a better quality version of it.

damn, i really wanted that as my phones background but it just leaves white space when i use it as my background

Maybe try rotating it. It won't be the best quality, but it may fill in the blank space.

This is a long shot but If you have adobe Illustrator, which you probably wont, put the photo in, live trace it and scale is up to as big as you need. Then save it as a jpeg and put it back into photoshop or whatever and it will be scaled up without pixelating the image but It may be less detailed.

do you have adobe illustrator? if so could you make it bigger for me?

You could even do it in PHE itself, make a new file with a high resolution, then copy paste your picture into it, blow it up, then trace it. It'd take a while but if you spent a while on it it could look alright.
