Devised by the "coolio" members of NS, probably mostly by J.D., this award was a weekly/monthly top spot for the most stupid/ignorant posts from the lovely community on any subject or forum. The ones in the know used to quote a post and Nominate it for the award, and we all eagerly awaited who would be the worthy recipient.

It's time to bring it back, especially good for summer NS!

great idea. and the person should make the homepage and have a nice little blog or article dedicated to them. but, not to rip into the person, more so just to mock them. nobody likes to be bullied, but it's fun to be the butt of ridicule every now and again. everyone has a moment pointing their finger and laughing, and then you move on with life.

Could a nominate button be added to every post on the left near the poster's name/karma/date? Then, there could be a section where people could vote every month on the most ignorant post? I've seen nominate buttons on other forums, but those were for posts of the day.

How about make a new sticky thread and the beginning of each month and then people can go into that thread and post a screen shot of or link to a thread for their nomination.

That way everything is in one thread and somewhat easier to go through.

If you wanted to cut down the nominations to a manageable amount, the nomination thread could be in the donator's forum.
