I was thinking about pro skiers and trampolines and I was on one today for the life of me I could not to the backflip every time I would try I would just stall my jump and do some half ass spin. I do need to build up my courage a bit for doing the cool stuff. However I do not think a crazy amount of courage is required for a 180 or 360 it just takes practice.
It took me 3 seasons to learn how to 360. I was also 9 and learned them off mogul jumps. However it took my friends little brother an afternoon to learn 360s and one month to learn 5s and 7s. The reason? He spun off of everything. A little tip for courage too btw. When your are skiing up to the feature, stop thinking and just throw it. Best advice anyone ever gave me.
