Park jumps are dead to me.

It's all about the rails! Except backflips, they never lose their appeal.
For real though, I seriously think that jumping has pretty much reached it's pinnacle of appeal. How many times can one watch people spinning around in the air? After so many years, it's just the same shit over and over again, and there's basically nothing left to be done. Don't get me wrong, the dub cork 7 was dope, and there's lots of dudes that kill smooth tricks on jumps, I've just seen it all so many times. I've been watching ski movies for more than 12 years at this point, and there's only so many cork 9's and smooth switch 7's that one can watch before realizing that there just isn't anywhere left to go. I really hope someone proves me wrong, but I can't really fathom what's left to be done (zero fucks given about triples and other future spins).
When it comes to rails on the other hand, I feel like we're just getting started. Not only is sliding rails more fun than jumping (backflips being the exception) but they're just so much more interesting to watch. There are so many rails on this planet to be slid and year after year, rail shit just gets fresher.
Thoughts?

I enjoy cork 7s because cork 7s feel cool. I enjoy tail press ollie blind 2s because tail press ollie blind 2s feel cool. That's all that matters.

my jumping skills include 180s and sometimes a sketchy 3, never spun off a jump more than 25ft but there is nothing i love more than straight airing big booters. i dont hit boxes or rails at all. i'd rather straight air a 70ft jump than 3 a 20ft jump

Well dude yes all the tricks are the same but it's all up to the skier to change it up with there style. Guys like E-Dollo does so many different shit it the time and it all looks sick as hell because of the style he puts into it. Every skier and their style is different and it's not like everything looks exactly the same.

This thread is dildos. You just dont like jumping because you dont have the balls to progress yourself

Fool, I done plenty of good tricks in my time. I've also gotten hurt on jumps and had to have surgery more than once as a result of jumping, so I've done plenty of progression, thanks. The enjoyment I get out of jumping aggressively no longer outweighs the risk involved, so yes I suppose that is probably age related. Never gotten seriously hurt on a rail in my life, urban included.
Anyways, I gotta stress that straight airing jumps and mellow tricks are incredibly enjoyable, didn't mean to say they weren't. I just don't take it very seriously any more. Not worth it.
I more meant that in viewing the skiing media on the online and DVD videos, I prefer to watch the rails. Also not saying dudes like Henrik don't keep it interesting...just saying that those dudes are few and far between, and I enjoy watching them slide around on rails more than I enjoy watching them in the air.
Finally, I didn't ask any of you to agree with me. I just stated my opinion, and asked for yours.

it's all about the jumps! except 810s on to flat boxes. that shit is fresh. i feel as though skiings rail game has reached it's pinnacle of appeal. i can only watch edollo tap so many boxes in his xxxxxl pants before it gets repetitive. i feel as though rails have become generic and nothing new is happening (zero fucks given to urban). don't get me wrong, real skifi 6 was off the hook, but in general rails are getting boring to watch. everyone's pants are just way too baggy. jumps on the other hand are way more fun to hit, and way cooler to watch. with jumps everywhere getting bigger every year, we are bound to see triples, quads and beyond. some time soon someone will spin into the future. the prospect of this 'future spin' is what makes jumps so enticing these days. i don't see any xxxxxxl jibberish clad skiers even ATTEMPTNG to jib into the future. /fuckyouOPthistookalongtimetotypeoutbecauseimonmobile. ps. i love jumps why you hatin!!

Dear motherfuckingretard NS poster,
Read above reply to thread. When you're finished with that, go find a dick and suck it dry.

it took me so long to type it i didn't see your above post. and i don't see why you are so upset. you asked for opinions and i gave you mine in a paradox. i hope we can still be friends. -ilikefood

I can partially agree with you, because I can see there is not many new tricks to be done, (expect for triples, quads etc.) but I still think a lot of grabs could be added to different tricks.

Still, I want to ask you - which rail tricks do you think have not been done yet?

then stick to the box line, hike tht shit ! :) less people fuking up jump lanes the better! unless u feeling badass and wanna backflip of course

Not gonna lie usually I think most of the posts on this website are pretty lame even though most people like them.......but those were awesome GJ Mike-O

I definitely like rails better than jumps, but that's probably cause I suck at jumps. But I still find rails a lot more fun
