Ok, listen up peeps. Here's my 2 cents:

#1: This thread is retarded.

#2: Skiing is whatever you make of it.

#3: It really takes a lot of skill to do big rails and make them look good.

#4: Here in the Pennsylvania, we get the shittiest, iciest snow around. For a lot of us all we have are rails. And I'm not dissing any of you big mt skiiers out there. Believe me, I only wish I had fresh powder, chutes, and cliffs. The shit I see in videos is sweet.

i'd love to do tricks in the backcountry...but i have none...so for now im gonna work on tricks in general and get better at rails....

Admittedly myself, I cant railslide very well, only straight on, straight off.. nothing fancy.

However, one thing i do see, is alot of kids obsessed with them.. comes across as more of a trend thats been yanked from skateboarding.

Yet, they brag about being pimp because they can slide over a metal bar, yet throw them onto a double blacker glades run, with rocks, powder, tight trees, and they can't do anymore then turn--STOP-turn--STOP and take 3 hours to get down.

Skiing is what you make of it- however I am sick of the countless 13 year old wiggers, who dress like idiots, pretend to be a part of a culture there not, and can't ski extreme worth shit.

 
well alot of kids who can slide these rails with the skater steeze that you are talkin about, don't have the glades, cliffs, chutes etc... to practice on....

I think if you are someone who lives out in whistler, colorado, jackson hole and you can't ride burly terrain like this then u prolly just suck as a skier, cause the terrain is so accesible.... to be able to ride everything is hard because not every state or your closest resort has everything in one whole package, and if it does, i envy that/you

rails are sweet ass and I love seeing what new inventions they have with rails every year when the ski videos come out. Like that orange rail that tanner and pep greased, it went in a complete circle and that was the coolest thing I have ever seen. But as far as doing rails myself, I hate them, cause I suck, and granted I will do rails well every now and then, but I mostly hurt myself real bad doing them so I like sticking to airs and stuff.

Progression however is greatly appreciated in any area of skiing, whether it be off of jumps, cliffs, big mountain lines, or on rails, boxes or whatever. just keep it real.

who cares...if you don't like rails you don't like rails...some people are just good at them so they do them more...if you don't like them then don't ski slopestyle
