just found out. hurt it in the last game of my jr. season, but not too bad. hurt it again when i got jumped by 4 guys. now i cant play my last year of one of the most important things in my life since 5th grade. ive been to every single weightlifting, stair running, and lineman workout all summer. i really dont care about anything else. skiings fun... but its not football. and now my team is fucked too. i feel like shit.

while I agree, that was totally fucking unnecessary to say to a kid who just lost one of the most important things of his highschool life. Way to be an asshole.

Im sorry to here that man, I cant imagine if that was happen to me for lacrosse or skiing, shit would kill me.

yea dude come on. I mean i like soccer better, but thats not what this is about. That really sucks dude, it would have been the same for me with track my senior year. Luckily, nobody was seriously injured but I could imagine what it would be like. You never know, it may improve. Just keep working out and try to be an assistant to your coach or something so you can still help out. I know its not hte same but its something

thats a bummer dood!!! you can't fondle other males w/ the excuse of your playing a sport!! soooo shitty guess you'll just have to come outta the closet!! haahah naw i'm just playing

oh yea sorry about that.

im really the only center we have. the back-up refuses to play. so if i am really out then our really good tackle is going to have to convert, and then we will be down a lineman.

wow. If you're playing center you must be a decent sized dude. Just kinda interesting because the majority of skiers (newschoolers anyways) are relatively lanky.

Real soccer players dont actually call it soccer you dousche.

Call it fucking Football. the rest of the world (minus australia and NZ) call it Football. Its football.

Well.. it is partially true..

Just look at what happens in other countries during the world cup. They straight up close down.

Meanwhile I and a good percentage of the rest of the nation had to work lol.

i hear you man i missed my senior season of ball with a torn acl.... and because i missed my senior season i missed out on numerous opportunities to play ball at university. nobody wants damaged goods i guess

UPDATE OF THE CENTURY!!!!!!

got my second opinion from a shoulder specialist.

he says i can play.

he says its gonna hurt like holy hell, and that it will get worse, but he gave me the go ahead. getting surgery after the season. holy shit, this has been the craziest day and a half of my entire fucking life.

haha wow that is like the exact same thing that happened to me last year except it was only frosh. I missed the last 3 games cause i hurt my knee and we had no other centers so our tackle had to switch. I'm sorry about your injury, do you plan on playing any in college?

good to see you can read. and good to know that probably anyone on my football team would beat you without much trouble. now, before you freak out and say no, read that word that starts with a "p" and end with a "robably." you might be boxer or something.

I know this Isn't what you want to hear right now, but while this season seems like the world, its really a small thing.

My father was getting heavily recruited to play soccer at Brown his junior year in high school; the coach seemed poised to extend him an offer. In his lacrosse season of that same year however, things went terribly wrong. At the midfield line, catching an over the shoulder pass, my dad got clipped low and blindside, snapping his femur.

His spring and summer were spent in a cast that reached from his ankle to his belly button; 4 months of zero activity. His soccer season was a total bust, he couldn't even play, and Brown vanished like the wind.

Now its not all a bad story. While the injury cheapened his high school experience it taught him valuable lessons about perseverance, and will power. My father has gone on to be a VERY successful business man, and a lot of his success he attributes to the drive and mental fortitude that cruel experience forged in him. He got to eat his redemption cake too, becoming an All-American in D3 ball.

I know this sucks. I'm sure its hard. But remember that sports are things that most of us do for fun, and their absence from our lives unfortunate but not unbearable.

Who knows maybe some good will come of this. I do believe the once rising high school senior and starting quarterback Josh Hartnett was sidelined due to injury for senior football season. The dudes rollin heavy in mad Hollywood cash slayin hot girls at will. Choose whether you want to "ACT" or "REACT" to your realty, it will make all the difference.

that was extremely well written and inspiring. but like i said, the second opinion told me i could wait until after the season to be surgered upon.

For christ sakes. Dont call soccer "soccer".

Call it football. Like the rest of the fucking world

(except for U.S. Canada, NZ, Aus.)

Then again... after thinking it over for a bit...

I think I'd rename them.

Soccer/Football should really be called "anything but hands" ball lol.

American Football should be called Tackleball.

Rugby should be called "INSANOBALL"
