I was thinking about getting the Orage Elevation Down jacket, anyone have? HOw is it?

my friend got an orage jacket and it literally fell apart, and he hardly ever fell or did anything, the seams all just came undone

hey i have the jacket....umm well i bought it really cheap from a friend who barley used it so i have only ridden with it like once or twice last season....it was really warm and nice it didnt like shatter when i fell either but i cant say how long it will hold.....ill find out when the season comes..oh ya i also have the Dpv1 orage jacket and that thing is tough not a single thread is pokin out or anything cept it could be more water proof on the shoulders and all around.....but orage makes pretty good jackets, i dont know if you should get them for retail price though cause there hella $$$ so just try to find them for cheap.

 
Orage jackets at stylie for walking around town but a liftie I know had one and just carrying her skis on her shoulder ripped thru a shoulder before february last year. I have an M61 jacket and mine is still going strong. Also, you have something like a 120 day stitching guarantee with most jackets and with avalanche jackets you have like a year or two.

hmmm ya i know what you mean something about there shoulders....although mine hasnt ripped or cut in anyway, its just not as waterproof on my shoulders...ya im pretty sure most of there stuff is sturdy though or atleast the dpv1 is.

IHOP you could try to wash it with nikwax (think I spelled that right) and it will help to waterproof it and should help seal up the seems from water. Not a perfect fix but it's always a good idea to wash coats in that stuff once a year. Just helps to rebuild the waterproof protection on them.

 
what! what is this Miracle solution you talk off???? where can i pick this up and can i just throw this in my washer?

 
they sell the stuff in aerosol cans at shoe stores for waterproofing non-leather shoes. I use it on hats to keep my head dry.

finding the right jacket is easy, finding the right pant is hard. right now I use a firefly pant and its ok but not the look I really want.

yeah i dont know how there jackets are but the pants i bought from them are frigen bullet proof, i killed my rossi pants in a month, and that was before i even had a real park, but the pants last a long time, maybe the jackets are as good

yeah there jackets are tough, like i hit things and crash all the time cuz i suck, but the jacket hasnt even had a loose seam on me.....i think they need more waterproofing though
