and the first France goal wasnt a proper penalty, some bad calls were made, get over it. If you want I can start arguing over and over that Toni wasnt actualy offside and watch my post count rocket. The ref redeemed his bad first penalty call by not given France a second one. There was no third one, I dont know what you're talking about. I dont know why you're trying to cheapen Italy's victory, I mean in the end they got the win that's all.

 
i tihnk we can all walk away from this situation with the conclusion that world cups should end with a Golden Goal, not fucking shoot outse, regardless of who your loyalties lie with.
 
I dreamt this, so it may not be completely coherent.

I think that a fine way to end would be to take 3 teams of 3 players from each team. So 9 total players from each team and the keeper. There would be 3 games of 3 v 3. One goal would be brought just in front of midfield as to shorten the field. Then the teams would play. The first team to score wins that match. First team to win 2 out of the 3 v 3 matches would win.

It is better than PKs, and would not tire the players out as much as another overtime. Seems dope.
 
I dont think they played well enough to WIN the world cup...they played well enough not to lose, there's a difference.

If the Italian player did make a racist comment or cheap shot at his family then what he did can be rationalized but not supported. Despite being outplayed for 75% of the match, Italy did win the game, you cant just cant overturn a game because of what one player said, the time to rectify the situation has passed.

Zidane probably would have scored on that run if he hadnt of been fouled, that automatically equals a PK. You CANNOT CALL a FUCKING GAME LIKE THAT. He probably didnt make the fucking call because he was on the other side of the fucking field not paying attention like a shitty ref would do. I dont give a shit if they won. I have NO respect for any player on Italy's team after seeing them play in the WC. Sorry you arent going to change my mind.
 
i'm not a huge soccer fan but i saw two games and they were fun as hell. (brazil vs australia and australia vs croatia) The game of soccer is not about a few filthy rich old men like baseball, basketball, american football, or other "real sports" but the endurance, grace, and agility require to play along with strategy and in some cases brawn. being in a stadium packed with thousands of crazy fans who are not 75% obese is an extremely memorable experience and being on international tv playing air guitar to the solo of Dirty Deeds standing next to a girl wearing a dortmund jersey waving a dortmund flag was fucking awesome as well.
