argenentina has probably played some of the best football of the world cup this year. all the big names have fucked up, argentina hasnt. they played their 2nd string team yesterday cause they didnt care too much about the outcome. argentina has a very good chance.

germany have played very well this world cup. played well under pressure and have scored two of the best goals so so far. they have proven that they can play under pressure and play creatively.

so what do you mean by comparing who is worse argentina or germany? the real quesion would be, who is better.

france has been playing badly and havent one a world cup game in 8 years (since they where champions)

ghana is playign a pretty good game so far. and that penalty kick hasn't been the only bull shit call so far. i.e. the two yellow cards on ghana. those calls weren't even fouls nevermind being bad enough to warrant yellow cards. so when you complain about the ref sucking it goes both ways.

and anyway the US is looking wicked lethargic and only have started to wake up within the last ten minutes. if they expect to win they better wake up.

There is the second half. The momentum was with us. Ghana is not controlling it in their back defense and is only making oppourtunities off of free kicks and fast random breaks. If the US can keep this pace up, they might be able to go a goal up.

Uh there have been many other calls on the US that shouldn't have been fouls and fouls called in the reverse order. Plus let's see- yellow card or game winning penalty kick. I'm just going to take a wild guess, but I think the penalty kick just might be a tad bit more important. When calling a PK you need to make damn sure that it was a bad enough tackle, and he actually did take him down. You also should look at the AR's (who both had their flags down) to see if a flag is up for a foul.

Well, one reason is I admire the way Ghana plays. Real quick, fast feet and their ability to create oppurtunities and counterattack.

Two, I am a fan of Micheal Essien. Even though I don't like Chelsea as a club, I love watching him play for them. He is such a good player and I want to see him do well.

Thirdly, I don't like the way the United States plays the game. I went to the U.S. Latvia game warmup game, and I was real disappointed by their attitude. During that game I saw a lot of diving, and needless to say that is not real soccer. I also don't like the way they rely more on brute strength than they do on their technical skills.

Are those reasons enough? Or should I just stamp the word attention monger on my forehead? I don't have to root for the United States in everything.

Well, I think that they are just pretty stoked on being the underdog that defeated the Czech Republic who FIFA ranked number two and just now beating the US. This is their first time ever in the World Cup and noone thought that they would come this far. I would even venture as far to say that they didn't think that they would advance.
