Anyone ski Sierra regularly?

Wondering this as well. Thinking about going up for a few days since I've got free tickets and want to know what the park is like.

not big but super fun.

have the park on upper snowshoe going. small flat down, small dfd, flat down flat or double propane tank option, hitching post elbow rail(money), another propane tank, down bar or down gas pipe option(smoothest rail ever), and an up-down bar. the latter features are larger.

we're all loving it, snow conditions dominate heavenly's, and side hits make grandview laps prime. however you might want to save your tickets for when tahoe gets more snow

Will make a thread with the same info in regionals, but posting in here for those that don't check the whole forum

I'll be in Tahoe the 4-7, will be skiing SaT, KW, Squaw, and Alpine but am open to suggestions.

Anyone have lift ticket hookups or know where they sell discounted tickets?

I have a spot to crash in Truckee but am looking for a place to stay while skiing at SaT and KW or somewhere that is convenient to both. Alternatively, a good spot to post up in my car. Will trade info for beer and a place to crash in Bozeman.

If you'll be around send me a PM, its always good to meet up even for a run or two. I'll be bringing high fives and liquid courage for all.

Squaw's parks are looking good!! Belmont is in full swing and rumor has it there is a build happening in Gold Coast the next couple days. Next weekend should be awesome!!

I just moved to Mountain view and I am looking for people to ski squaw with. I have a 4runner and I can give 3 people rides up and back from mountain view area if they need it. PM if you're interested.

Bear local, moved up here to South Lake a few months ago. Havent been on NS in a minute! Message me if youre trying to ride Sierra or Boreal! I have a camera and im looking to get some shots n maybe puff a few spliffs.

heavenly sucks harder than a leech in a vaccume cleaner being pulled into a black hole in outer space. dont waste your time. northstar is pretty pimpin, top to bottom line, 3 jumps, tons of rails and boxes, and a sick halfpipe.

Whats going on at Heavenly? They post such deceiving pictures I can never tell.

they've had about 5 rails/boxes up since they opened two months ago and one 10 foot jump. super, super weak. however, groove park opened a day or two ago. i haven't seen it or ridden it yet, but honestly my expectations are really low...

Which is a shame cause groove is so nice to burn and lap

rode groove for the first time today and it was better than expected. i'm gonna say the jump they have is about 20 feet and i'd say it's the best jump i've hit in groove. nice and poppy with a fitting landing. decent rail/box set up too.

I haven't been to Tahoe since I was 13, but I'm coming Feb 12th. Are there any open rail jams or anything going from about the 12th to the 18th?

Goin up this weekend if anybody wants to carpool. Leavin Saturday night and comin back Sunday probably around 4. I'll pick pretty much anywhere in the bay ideally south or east bay and drop anywhere around north shore.

hows the park/snow levels at Boreal right now?

Only Accelerator and 49er are open, but snow level is acceptable under both of those lifts. Park is fully open and pretty sweet, and I think they finally cut the halfpipe. I'm going up friday actually.

I know it might not be worth it, but if anybody wants some half price lift tickets to heavenly, northstar, or Kirkwood, let me know and they're yours.

^im just gonna start giving mine to people in line

I was thinking about doing that but I don't know if I'm going back up for the rest of the season and my last day working up at northstar was yesterday.

I had a bunch of extra tickets last summer and tried giving a FREE gondola ride ticket to this older couple at Heavenly and they started to get mad at me. yes, mad. They kept asking me what the catch was and if they had to sign up for a timeshare... even with me wearing a Heavenly uniform and clearly explaining multiple times that it was nothing but a free ticket. They still didn't believe me so I told them forget it and handed it to a family standing next to them who were really stoked and quickly went to the ticket window to redeem their free gondola ride. Fuck those old ma'fuckahz.

Heading up to Boreal tomorrow and Northstar sunday. These will probably be my last few days on the hill in Tahoe this year

As much as Tahoe has sucked the 2 years I have lived here a little day like today makes such a major difference in a shitty season. Really excited to live out here and have the opportunity to shred such a unique region.

You lucky fuck. I am 99% I won't make it up to ski any fresh snow from this storm

Well, it's almost that time of year again. I moved to NZ for a year so I wont be around to experience the "El Niño" everyone has been talking about. So I'm hoping you guys / this thread will keep me updated on how the snow is and how all the resorts are doing around the Tahoe Basin. Got my figures crossed that it'll be a good one for Tahoe, its long past due for one. Cheers!
