Official Tahoe Thread

Looking to do weekend carpools with people headed to tahoe from San Francisco..

I have a Squaw Pass, currently living in NOPA, I have a car so it would be ideal to share rides with people heading the same way, holler @ me

I think I saw you yesterday morning in front of the Joe? I was getting my bike and looked messy from swimming laps at Lombardi... But I tried to smile and felt awkward because I wasn't sure if it was you. So sorry if I glared hahaha

Rail keeper.

Job includes keeping rails appropriately lubed with goat seamen and "i cant believe its not butter"

other responsibilities include hiding beer in lips and under rails, making sure all riders have a chance to shotgun at the feature of their choice.

i knew this would be the year to be shredding N*. too bad im in utah this winter...bummer....
 
I prolly should have gotten the n* pass haha. Sounds like that's what everybody is going with. Hopefully it'll be all good with my rose, boreal, and mammoth passes

Definitely see you up at boreal though... no idea why you would choose rose.

But I also just found out they need a student that is good with GoPro and filming. They pay the position $50 a day and you just go out for one run, film the conditions and yourself skiing, then post it.

eh i have just been going there for such a long time (i used to live in south reno) and i know people up there so i figured why not. idk i doubt i will next year
 
Just signed up for UNR winter sports club. I'm in social right now but 90% sure I'm gonna switch to freestyle competitive. Anyone else signed up?

Someone is needed for that Mt. Rose position. I can't do it with my school/work schedule or with my gas mileage. PM me if you're interested, pretty sure they are looking for a student? but not sure.
 
Yo, who was at Mt Rose summit today? We had a pretty sick sesh and there were a lot of people so I know some of you were there

Hey guys, Mt rose will be opening up the flying jenny (conveyor lift) Friday, November 7th till Sunday. Tickets will be 10 bucks and we will have some rails set up for you. We will be moving snow and jibs around tomorrow so I will give yall an update of what exactly will actually be setup if anybody cares.

I think there was only 1 year I ever got a pass to rose and was happy with the park. I hope for you guys that you can gain back some recognition, but I highly doubt anyone will go back from n*/heavenly or squaw/alpine. The rails always lacked maintenance and there was never flow to any of the features. Jumps were always sketchy and never maintained. So good luck, and hats off if you can accomplish a good park.
 
Wassup! I'm new to the area, here for school. I'm in the East Bay currently and wondering if (and where) I should get a pass. I know Tahoe's been sucking for snow lately but I'm super excited to try and get out. Any compelling arguments? I've skied Kirkwood, Heavenly, Squaw, and AM before; I remember really liking KWood...

Get a squaw alpine pass. If im still around for the winter I'll be looking to carpool a lot with you and sean.
 
hey Tahomies, there is the possibility I'll be in Truckee skiing Alpine and N* for a few days in January. Very stoked to go home.
 
i went to rose today.. Yeah the speed is slow but i still had fun. I don't understand how you can complain when its one of the only places open and the tickets are only 10 dollars
