Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

Makes sense. More importantly, how dumb is it that its a tie after only 1 overtime? Bring on the college overtime rules!

He was down unfortunately.

But still, good way to start the game. Now it will be lingering in the Texans heads.

^yea I guess each team gets half a win and half a loss which still doesn't help me understand

1337 or some other smart guy in here might know

Kellen Davis is awful.

I love the Bears but its a mystery to me why Lovie does not value a good tight end.

hate all fans (not in here, just in general) who are like "boohoo, my team lost, wont buy nfl package next year and do other shit". yeah guess what, thats fucking sports. obviously some teams underachieve, but thats just part of it. otherwise we wouldnt have to play a single down and hand the lombardi trophy to the previous winning team.

dont go crying around and look for another team just because youre on the wrong side of all surprise teams.

obviously, i am a chargers fan first and foremost and know what i am talking about. but i also like the panthers and eagles because of newton and vick and they arent playing up to their level as well. also always felt sympathetic for the patriots and they arent playing lights out either. the difference to the other three teams is they win close games, but thats about it. apart from that, i couldnt care less who wins it all. maybe the 49ers, but pretty much only for randy moss.

fun game to watch and losing is so much more part of watching sports than winning is. winning becomes straight down boring when its an everyday thing, trust me. the emotions that sports create in the avid fan are why we watch it. and tears are as big a part as joy and happiness are.

Considering they under-spent significantly in previous years, they had plenty of cap space to make big pick ups like VJ. Now, why weren't they docked a couple million for not respecting the salary cap?

who has the worst uniforms in the NFL? I'd say the Chiefs narrowly beat out the Redskins. The McDonalds look is horrible. I think we should go with just red and white or red and white with some black.

Panthers could have the best if they ditched the silver helmet.

I like the skins jerseys, but then again I am a skins fan. I agree with the Chiefs though. It seriously looks like someone mixed up ketchup, mustard, and mayo.

Bills and Browns are pretty terrible. The throwback Steelers Jerseys must be the ugliest thing I've ever witnessed.

for hawks fans and anyone else who enjoys an inside the locker room show, the real rob report is pretty hilarious. Tons of episodes on youtube. Richard Sherman is hilarious, My Brotha.

This has been the greatest half of redskins football ever. Hell fucking yes. Hail to the redskins

pats DO fuck shit up.

obviously, when its playoff time, you cannot count on a defensive score, ST fumble recovery or whatever, but they play good on all phases and probably were never better at running/stuffing the run over the last few years, both things that bode well for any team in january and february.

the saints won the superbowl when they had an opportunistic, not great D, and a above-average rungame. the packers rungame, when they won the superbowl, was absolute horseshit during the regular season, but got going in the playoffs, same with the giants last year.

That was one of the most heartbeaking losses I've ever dealt with. You should of made that shit. In fact, you do always make those. At least were not as bad as the jets.

That 80 yard run was absolute bullshit. I honestly could care less about either team, but that was some horseshit and I'd be pissed if I was a lions fan. Even if shwarts fucked up by throwing the flag there still should be a way to reverse such a bullshit call.. Forsett 100% didn't deserve that TD.

i like andy dalton, they got a potent receiving core too. i had dalton on my fantasy team so i was rooting for them.

also fuck matt forte, horrible season. should not have drafted him

Well the Hawks loss to Miami may not even be the worst thing that happened to them today. Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman are suspended for 4 games each for violating the NFL PED policy. Goodbye season. Fuck.

omg, funny shit. my chargers. gotta stay true in defeat. its silly how much i care about them sitting 10000 miles away, but thats why you watch it. a game that comes down right to the wire and two guys make awesome plays (rice run and smith catch to set up the FG) to earn the win.

i am not mad that the defense gave up that 4th and 29. they played well all game and were simply too aggressive on that one.

in the end, its just sports. obviously disheartening but still, just a loss. bad because were so many games that turned on one goddamn play that the chargers didnt make, its just unlucky to a certain degree.

saints: "roughing" on brees

bucs: THE pick six by rivers

browns: THE drop by meachem

ravens: rice silly 30 yd catch on 4th and forever.

but thats sports, cant make those mistakes.

still love my chargers, hate all these fans that drop off the second a problem arrives. yeah they should have made more noise in the playoffs over the last few years, but every team wants that. but only a few can do it. end of story.

i am also still a huge vick, newton and randy moss fan, no matter what happens to them
