OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND WINTER 10/11 STORM THREAD

It's good out there...

That is all.

Blower but with small flake size so it is creating a nice base.

This thing really bombed the fuck out. TONS of moisture, really impressive snowfalls for areas that weren't supposed to get nearly as much. Warnings hoisted for Northern VT now too even.

^magic tomorrow sounds so amazing. really wish I could make it, but I'm stranded in Concord, NH, with no transport. Hitch hike my way out? I'll pay for gas if someone's passing through around noon.yeah, considering the amounts nearly everywhere, I'd say this storm delivered.

got around 22 inches total here in richmond, ma

amazing day skiing

took some of the best runs of my life.

'

im callin the next storm to be a week from this friday

I'm guessing we got 18ish on the north shore in Mass. It was really weird snow thought, there was a few inches of wet stuff, then a few inches of super light stuff, then a little more wet. Any way today was a sick day. We got kicked out of a rail and built a jump at a local hill, and it's still snowing so I have another snow day tomorrow!

wawa was so sick today. we hiked to the real summit and skied some chutes but the wind was crazy! i got knocked over twice during the 5 minute walk! the glades off balance rock were fun too

Clipper system with light snow Saturday. Watch for another potential coastal next week around Tues-Weds. Obviously a ton of details still to be ironed out.

just got back from VT the southern part of the state really got lit up. Mt. Snow was a blast on Wednesday all throughout the storm, and today as the storm cleared out. Was riding in about 20 inches I ripped everything up!!

Potential midweek storm is looking more inland. Chance for some mixing. Not a bad thing as we still need to get a base on the ground and some thick slop would do us good.

Yeeee just heard about that, possible mix, but saying it could stay all snow?

Whatever, this snow we just got will be here for a while.

looks like this storm is gonna be a nightmare. For seacoast NH, 3-6 inches with inland NH getting quite a bit more. Then it changes over to freezing rain then showers and then all that shit is gonna refreeze cause it will get down to like 15 degrees tomorrow night. Typical New England shitshow.

looks like just about everywhere's getting some mixed over the next 48 h. its a pity because the precipitation is coming right after one of the colder snaps of the winter so far. So be it, I might get a few turns in tomorrow before it rains. Is it just me or has it been a pretty good year so far? With the standard thaw or two, precipitation's been up, although maybe that's more of a coastal view.

ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW WITH THE HIGHER AMOUNTS MOST LIKELY IN NORTHERN CHESHIRE AND NORTHERN HILLSBOROUGH COUNTIES. IN ADDITION...ICE ACCRETION OF ONE TENTH TO ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE AFTER THE CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY EVENING.

same here, its 15 degrees in Northern CT, dumping like a motherfucker. But in a few hours its gonna rain?! I don't get it..

Snow and sleet for VT. Not complaining one bit because this will really create a real nice base for the trees and natural terrain.

Blower is wonderful, but only when it falls on top of something else.
