OFFICIAL NEW ENGLAND WINTER 10/11 STORM THREAD

Mostly sleet through the heavier precipitation periods here at Killington. Looks like the core of the precipitation is over so the damage is pretty limited.

yeah i gotta agree maybe some sloppy precip left for non mountainous terrain, i hope that maybe there will be one decent storm left for the mountains

fellas, the situation is dire. I'm not going to drop the "R" bomb, but it is coming. I hate to say it, but I'm bailing for a bit. Gonna get a few days surfing next week, and then fishing in the everglades. Back for later in March, hopefully a better wx pattern then.

This storm is proving what a shitshow that forecasting storms in March are...

HEAVY rain is transitioning into a pretty hefty snowstorm for Northern New England (ADKs, VT, NH and ME). Temps dropped from 50 to 35 in a half-hour in Central VT this morning. Cold front is pushing through and transitioning to snow, and a quite healthy dosage of it is expected through the morning.

Winter definitely ain't over up here...

Looking like an inch or more of liquid tonight for VT...

Good news is that from Central VT northward, it'll be snow. 10-20" with localized higher amounts easily possible.

well later NH snow. Southern resorts will suffer but northern are getting snow. It was a great season this year even though I couldnt go too much. Now its time for spring skiing, YAY!

Northern VT got LIT up and is still getting plastered. Sugarbush, Mad River, Bolton, Stowe, Smuggs and Jay should all see over three feet by the time this thing wraps it up later today.

Sleet kept accumulations down south of Route 4. Killington was around 10 inches this morning. Dense snow, tiny flake size. No fluff factor. Ripped good once you got the feel for it though.

Wish I didn't have classes today though. It'd be incredible to be further North in the fluffier stuff.

wish burlington airport wasnt closed. of course its puking outside while im en route to utah...ashdjfkhjkasfdhjksa. and it seems like all the burlington crazies have decided to post it up at the airport, makes for great entertainment.

that would be the cruelest joke ever. i hope we get something out of this, does anyone know about where the rain/snow line is going to be?

I am a skeptic.. but SR Saturday should be awesome, 8-12 up there for sure and at that elevation I wouldn't doubt 12+

the whole "april fool's day" joke is going to be so played with this storm. However, if anyone is doing a sunday daytrip and passing by concord, NH, I could do with a ride. I'll cover the gas.
