Official NBA Playoffs Thread

I saw it coming, but im tired off it. That and the fact that the Dodgers swept the rockies today as well. Everything is just going their way. Kings are good. Clippers won. Dodgers are the best team in baseball. WTF???
 
I cannot stand CP3 or Reggie Evans. After every whistle CP3 rips the ball from the opponents hands just trying to start shit and he talks to the refs every possession.Reggie Evans is allowed to foul and not get called because he sucks so bad or what? Then he flops on the next play.

I think the Lakers might have a shot at OKC. IF the sleeping giants wake up they have a serious shot. MWP(god i hate saying that) could definitely hold Durant to low scoring throughout the series.
 
damn, the only two teams I actually cared about, memphis and denver, are done. So sick of watching kobe and reggie evans... I hope OKC destroys LA next round.
 
I understand disliking the Lakers, but I have no idea how anyone who enjoys basketball could not love watching Kobe play. Dudes got a gift, and as much as I'm not a Laker fan, you cant help but enjoy how good the guy is.
 
This. I don't like the guy at all, for things he has said, done and acted over the years.

But man he can shoot the basketball, in game 5 he made 4 or 5 threes in a row in the last like 5 minutes. Dude comes up clutch, if he had a better supporting cast that wasnt a bunch of headcases (mainly bynum) he could take a team places.

Looking forward to tomorrow, should be an interesting game between la and okc.
 
How do you guys think OKC is gonna kill LA? LA wins 3 of 5 startimg positions and Artest is gomma slow KD. Do you really think Pau and Bynum are going to sleep the whole series again?

Yep. I think starting-wise, the two teams are pretty evenly matched. But OKC's bench will destroy the Lakers.
 
The only thing i do have against him is his ability to lock down Durant. He's simply not a point guard.

Coming from a Laker fan, if OKC start Harden at the 1 and moved Westbrook to the 2, they would be hoisting the trophy in June, easy. That said, they will never make the switch.
 
World Peace is such a piece of shit. Anyone else see his interview about when they asked him if he was gonna shake the guys hand who he elbowed? Like I used to not really care about the Lakers, thought kobe was pretty chill, but that guy has single handily made me hate that team with a passion, almost as much as the celtics.
 
he's way too cocky, he shoots the ball way more than a point guard should, instead of orchestrating plays.

Jealous lorax is jealous. Im sick of people critizing westbrook for not being a traditional pg. the man averages 6 apg as well as somewhere around 20 ppg. Is he a Nash or a Kidd? NO! But so far OKC isnt having any problems with him or they woulda got rid of him long ago.
 
I love how Lakers haters ignore the fact that they found another guys "DNA" in her underwear. Any other person and people would think this is just some sad bitch looking for fame and money. She's a slut AND she knows it.

Not counting out the possibility, but after being forced to withdraw the case, it's surprising people aren't more skeptical than they are.
 
well you got me there, I was super young when it happened and obviously didn't check my facts, I have disliked kobe since that whole incident. I also just don't like the lakers as a team, and the fact that kobe is undeniably an incredible player, and his attitude make it hard to not hate him.
 
it's not that he isn't a good player, he's just cocky. I personally like point guards who make plays better, than those that are more selfish, but that's just me.
 
I really hope Philly can take out the Celitcs. KG and Paul Pierce are such whiny bitches. When KG was a wolf I was the biggest KG fan, but he just seems like a douche now.
 
I like the celtics and garnett is a great player, but he is definitely an instigator which is kinda shitty
 
lakers defensive rotations is ass as well as their offence. itll be interestimg to see if perkins comes back. LA needa to give the ball to the big men and let them dominate
 
Good news is perkins is healthy.

Never liked the lakers, never will. The attitude of everyone of the players just screams tool. Theyre way to full of themselves. time to get humbled a bit...

He is without a doubt a great basketball player, and as he gets older he will learn how to pass. I just think he is a little too confident, and I don't hate him, just the fact that he takes more shots than Durant bothers me. Rajon Rondo definitely plays the position better than anyone else in the league in my opinion, He shares a record with Wilt Chamberlin and Magic Johnson, and had 10+ assists for the last 24 consecutive games of the 11/12 season, and not to mention pretty near a triple double every game. I definitely don't hate westbrook, but he has the talent to do more than shoot the ball every time he receives it.
 
Haha the Lakers dont even to be on the same court as OKC. Kobe is gonna be tying Durants shoes after this series if OKC keeps playing like they did last night. Man I wish it could of been the Nuggets instead of LA though. At least the games vs. OKC would have been competitive. The Lakers are a pathetic joke of a team, I am fairly confident in assuming that Kobe will never get another ring again.
 
Went to the Celtics last night, it was an exciting game at the endd but damn the middle two quarters were dead. Pierce played shitty but hes hurt and why the fuck didnt avery bradley play in the third quarter?

I understand you are a big Nugs fan, and losing hurts. Trust me I'm still trying to get over the Rose injury and my Bulls woes.

But this is just ridiculous. Kobe is still easily one of the top 5 players in the league. Bynum is a rebounding beast. Meta is a very good defender, if a bit inconsistent on offense (yes we all know he sucks as a person, but thats beside the point when it comes to his basketball talent). Pau, however soft he may be, produces, and their aren't many dudes his size who can shoot as well as he can.

Do they lack a bench? Sure, so do the Heat, that doesnt make them a joke of a team.

OKC will almost definitely beat the Lakers, but to say they are a joke of a team is just ignorant.
 
I agree it's annoying, but of course they're tired. So what if it's only ~35 minutes with breaks. They have interviews, shootarounds, game plans, sometimes traveling. They are busting their ass for the most part when they are on the court. Playing basketball for 10 minutes at a time competitively, meaning you run the court then are still moving to get open and then at the end of the play battling for a rebound, is somewhat tiring. I know they're athletes who get paid millions of dollars and I also don't think it is an excuse for the Lakers to play like shit, but it does factor in.
 
LeBron is such a fucking pussy. Why is he fucking passing off the ball when he is one of the best players in the league. He should be begging for the chance to take the game winning shot.
 
its pretty clear that if D Rose wouldnt have gotten hurt, they would have made it to the champs. Overall though, OKC has the whole thing in the bag. Durant is hot, Westbrook feeds off of the energy that Durant brings, and Harden has a sick beard. They got the easy W!
